<section id="H508B8AB4A223475CBB036566BCE09F75" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Renewable Fuel Standard Integrity Act of 2021</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HD3ED5E24D523412C881B410D3A60772B"><enum>2.</enum><header>Annual deadline for petitions by small refineries for exemptions from renewable fuel requirements</header> <subsection id="H018F6A86DDDD4B6390E88380DC14603B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Deadline</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law, petitions under section 211(o)(9) of the Clean Air Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/7545">42 U.S.C. 7545(o)(9)</external-xref>) for an exemption from the requirements of section 211(o)(2) of such Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/7545">42 U.S.C. 7545(o)(2)</external-xref>) shall be submitted to the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency by June 1 of the year preceding the year when such requirements would otherwise be in effect.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HE89E5AA6457D48679992FFB216145EE3"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effect of failure To meet deadline</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If a petition described in subsection (a) is not submitted by the deadline specified in such subsection, the petition shall be ineligible for consideration or approval.</text></subsection></section> <section id="H258FFB720876452B9627C68B7122E3E0"><enum>3.</enum><header>Information in petition subject to public disclosure</header> <subsection id="HF5C8C219DDB54A76B95330101FFBC278"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The information described in subsection (b) in any submission to the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency by any person, including a small refinery, with respect to a petition under section 211(o)(9)(B) of the Clean Air Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/7545">42 U.S.C. 7545(o)(9)(B)</external-xref>)—</text> 
<paragraph id="HA2298BB4D3DC4463BD6773719B7CCB8D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>shall not be deemed to be a trade secret or confidential information; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H4A434EAEB9AB44ADB1006A8FA8462EA7"><enum>(2)</enum><text>shall be subject to public disclosure, notwithstanding section 552(b) of title 5, United States Code.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="HE75C2DA9E48A4C689FAD744431CE3722"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Described information</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The information described in this subsection is—</text> <paragraph id="HFF7A6A6D12E04440ACAE3C2A76303F92"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the name of the small refinery requesting an extension of an exemption;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HC8FE6CF60D6F453E8D70BF5CE77EB610"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the number of gallons of renewable fuel that will not be contained in fuel pursuant to section 211(o)(2) of the Clean Air Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/7545">42 U.S.C. 7545(o)(2)</external-xref>) as a result of the extension if the extension is granted; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H3EA4CB04E547494491D94DDA71133900"><enum>(3)</enum><text>the compliance year for which the extension is requested.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H4FA6899D8533409E809C8A5891259E54"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Applicability</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (a) applies only with respect to information submitted with respect to a petition under section 211(o)(9)(B) of the Clean Air Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/7545">42 U.S.C. 7545(o)(9)(B)</external-xref>) for calendar year 2023 or subsequent calendar years.</text></subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
