R. 1017</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210211">February 11, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="N000147">Ms. Norton</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HPW00">Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To prohibit the use of Federal funds to install permanent fencing around the United States Capitol, any of the Capitol Buildings, or any portion of the Capitol Grounds.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H4551ADBE00514A6A8DAE08239EA0A0B0" style="OLC"><section id="H1F07F86098B94AF8BAC5478153557FC3" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>No Fencing at the United States Capitol Complex Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section><section id="H1DD71712B20D44C1B34884C1806B9FEA" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibiting use of funds for permanent fencing around United States Capitol</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">No Federal funds may be used to install permanent fencing around—</text><paragraph id="H65CFD11DCE1D4B3E86B56278C53F7062"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the perimeter of any of the Capitol Buildings described in section 5101 of title 40, United States Code; or</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H0D499845049E4676B3FEAC109EC46AD5"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the perimeter of the United States Capitol Grounds, or any portion thereof, described in section 5102 of such title.</text></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
