<enactingFormula style="-uslm-lc:I650120">  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</enactingFormula>
<section id="d2022e62" identifier="/us/bill/116/s/2249/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I650146"><num value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>AUTHORITY FOR CONTINUATION OF SERVICE OF THE DEPUTY ADMINISTRATOR OF THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION.</heading><subsection class="indentUp0 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d2022e66" identifier="/us/bill/116/s/2249/s1/a" style="-uslm-lc:I650120"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">In General</inline>.—</heading><content>An individual serving as Deputy Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration on the date of enactment of this Act may continue to serve as such Deputy Administrator, without regard to the restrictions specified in the 5th sentence of <ref href="/us/usc/t49/s106/d/1">section 106(d)(1) of title 49, United States Code</ref>.</content></subsection><subsection class="indentUp0 firstIndent1 fontsize10" id="d2022e78" identifier="/us/bill/116/s/2249/s1/b" style="-uslm-lc:I650120"><num style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading><inline class="smallCaps">Rule of Construction</inline>.—</heading><content>Nothing in this Act shall be construed as approval by Congress of any future appointments of military persons to the Offices of Administrator and Deputy Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration.</content></subsection></section>
