			 credit, and for other purposes. </official-title></form>
	<legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" id="H2B0B7E0A342A40BA92ADB63A1D277E2F" style="OLC">
 <section id="HA8C4B19ACD2445FBBC9BBCCB90FE9BDD" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Building Rail Access for Customers and the Economy Act of 2019</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>BRACE Act of 2019</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H0233EBC3DD2646A0B9CEDE1C0F4B21BC"><enum>2.</enum><header>Railroad track maintenance credit made permanent</header> <subsection id="HC219D39842384EF1B53F66FCE8DCCE3B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/45G">Section 45G</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by striking subsection (f).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H7FDA5BBACCD9445BBD68D70FE428CB15"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date</header>
 <paragraph id="H47406B1B95FA4103AF73B3AF2F8BCBF5"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply to expenditures paid or incurred during taxable years beginning after December 31, 2017.</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H1CBF1A9B26744C38BF6867BC2240E9B2"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Safe harbor assignments</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Assignments, including related expenditures paid or incurred, under paragraph (2) of <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/45G">section 45G(b)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 for taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2018, and before January 1, 2019, shall be treated as effective as of the close of such taxable year if made pursuant to a written agreement entered into not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
