 information centers, and for other purposes. </official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Supporting Family-to-Family Health Information Centers Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id5AB12EB419334F959AABED7CDA47E738"><enum>2.</enum><header>Findings</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Congress finds that family-to-family health information centers—</text><paragraph id="idA0D8C2B9D04343AFAD4141C944182160"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">assist families of children with disabilities or special health care needs to improve the well-being of children;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id54883ccbcd2d4560bd9bc629d31b688e"><enum>(2)</enum><text>provide information to families regarding resources available to help children with disabilities or special health care needs;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="ida54653eb68774859821e14e496fe5fa0"><enum>(3)</enum><text>work with representatives of health care organizations to facilitate collaboration between families of such children and professionals and organizations in the health care system;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id63a20c3236e94ec8b91f3b9322b5bc13"><enum>(4)</enum><text>since fiscal year 2007, the first year the Secretary of Health and Human Services began to develop and support such centers, they have spread to the extent that family-to-family information centers now operate in all 50 States; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id312403B20B2A4C2882D4223CA4153607"><enum>(5)</enum><text>since fiscal year 2018, these centers have been, and continue to be, developed in the territories and for Indian tribes.</text></paragraph></section><section commented="no" id="HD053812A617344FB99E6B3CE383907A0" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>3.</enum><header>Extension for family-to-family health information centers</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 501(c) of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/701">42 U.S.C. 701(c)</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph commented="no" id="H88855A827E7A47FBAE712FE1C2E9A225"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1)(A)(vii), by striking <quote>and 2019</quote> and inserting <quote>through 2024</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" id="HB03832AFDBC24817BDDE90C7E5238341"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (3)(C), by striking <quote>fiscal years 2018 and 2019</quote> and inserting <quote>fiscal year 2018 and each fiscal year thereafter</quote>.</text></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
