	<legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" id="HF9783B15633042E4A787EF2B1BB736E0" style="OLC">
 <section id="HD70DF1BE2CB64F0BBF27C6CB7F48E7F1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Combat Online Predators Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="HA364D18436034AE89096656AF6E7910C"><enum>2.</enum><header>Enhanced penalty for stalkers of children</header> <subsection id="H958D995B87294C439CA4EB24E2A2844C"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/18/110A">Chapter 110A</external-xref> of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after section 2261A the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H1AB5BD574F3549A29E9126A4200D4ED4" style="USC">
					<section id="H9C27031C60994F4C8C3FF0B0E3156C20"><enum>2261B.</enum><header>Enhanced penalty for stalkers of children</header>
 <subsection id="H36971E484460419A9D195D250A77EC0E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Except as provided in subsection (b), if the victim of an offense under section 2261A is under the age of 18 years, the maximum imprisonment for the offense is 5 years greater than the maximum term of imprisonment otherwise provided for that offense in section 2261.</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="H6F174A8139F14B3F8B215F210388FDA7"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Limitation</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (a) shall not apply to a person who violates section 2261A if—</text> <paragraph id="HB4390894475F46B0B998EC8A5796C3BF"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the person is subject to a sentence under section 2261(b)(5); and</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H24B938FD876E49159EB7A08FD84C1B35"><enum>(2)</enum><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="H1454363D864E4269801303337D17C6A1"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the person is under the age of 18 at the time the offense occurred; or</text> </subparagraph><subparagraph id="HBCB276E8707B459EB4D4FFFF3CF6115E" indent="up1"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the victim of the offense is not less than 15 nor more than 17 years of age and not more than 3 years younger than the person who committed the offense at the time the offense occurred.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
 </subsection><subsection id="HD8C894A2B82843C6B673A4805DEE8E28"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical amendment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The table of sections at the beginning of <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/18/110A">chapter 110A</external-xref> of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after the item relating to <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/18/2261A">section 2261A</external-xref> the following new item:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HF35974674F61400DBDDC83D056688388" style="USC"><toc regeneration="no-regeneration"><toc-entry level="section">2261B. Enhanced penalty for stalkers of children.</toc-entry></toc><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
 </subsection><subsection id="H7A4A26B931D74EB691C4B5906325E349"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Conforming amendment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2261A of title 18, United States Code, is amended by striking <quote>section 2261(b) of this title</quote> and inserting <quote>section 2261(b) or section 2262B, as the case may be</quote>.</text> </subsection></section><section id="H14A6E366CD1D4E21859D113D2F67B9C5"><enum>3.</enum><header>Report on best practices regarding enforcement of anti-stalking laws</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Attorney General shall submit a report to Congress, which shall—</text>
 <paragraph id="H4503585F081A4404BA3A88B7BC52142D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>include an evaluation of Federal, Tribal, State, and local efforts to enforce laws relating to stalking; and</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H67F4AE8D32014F0B86BC228ACA18B9BB"><enum>(2)</enum><text>identify and describe those elements of such efforts that constitute the best practices for the enforcement of such laws.</text></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
