			 tax incentives enacted by the 2017 tax reform legislation, and for other
 purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause"><section id="id6F1364ED03BF431C8575944697A38557" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Collection of data on opportunity zone tax incentives</header><subsection id="idE6ACE775D6824880B88C0A63EFD99714"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of the Treasury, or the Secretary’s delegate (referred to in this Act as the <term>Secretary</term>), shall collect information on investments held by qualified opportunity funds (as defined in <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/1400Z">section 1400Z–2(d)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986) nationally and at the State level, which shall include—</text><paragraph id="id5C4EABE2722E4B80BFF4D01632F95A3D"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the number of such qualified opportunity funds,</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id35A9EA5395AF426A86D723B5D43C9868"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the amount of assets held in qualified opportunity funds,</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id97F259E89EEF4159B83C4481A2AD77D5"><enum>(3)</enum><text>the composition of qualified opportunity fund investments by asset class,</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id524952B5EC3C4921A648D66CCC2C09E1"><enum>(4)</enum><text>the percentage of qualified opportunity zone census tracts designated under subchapter Z of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (as added by section 13823 of <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/115/97">Public Law 115–97</external-xref>) that have received qualified opportunity fund investments, and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id2F2C95C62271484487AF6DE605473D33"><enum>(5)</enum><text>the impacts and outcomes of zone designation in those areas on economic indicators, including job creation, poverty reduction, new business starts, and other metrics as determined by the Secretary.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id060FDE87A05F480399811D1C79C9B3CA"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Investments</header><text>For any investment described in subsection (a), the Secretary shall collect relevant information regarding each such investment, including—</text><paragraph id="id98198BBFD4A04DF09AD92A2B972C6910"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the total amount of the investment and the date on which such investment was made,</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idA4CCF59DAF6141D5BC68355142685A21"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the type of investment, such as whether the investment is in an existing business, new business, or real property, and the location of such business or property,</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idA7F1AEA8EB98459387327BB7426C84A4"><enum>(3)</enum><text>the type of activity being supported by such investment, such as single-family or multi-family residential properties, commercial properties, or the economic sectors in which the business operates,</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id73DEE1A0467540F3B8670819FED09027"><enum>(4)</enum><text>in the case of a business, the approximate number of full-time employees at the time the investment in such business was made, and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id1A0C678D06944B1C8D9D042B1DEC24FF"><enum>(5)</enum><text>in the case of real property, the approximate total square footage and the approximate number of residential units, as applicable.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id69874126537A4666B909D79DEA1F12FE"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Collection of information</header><text>For purposes of any information described in this section, the Secretary shall establish appropriate procedures and measures to ensure that—</text><paragraph id="idB0BCB956E98A4D4299BB958E450C8351"><enum>(1)</enum><text>collection of such information is performed in a manner so as to prevent duplicative or redundant reporting, and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idBA6BC830B8CE4B60B94951893F2EB483"><enum>(2)</enum><text>any personally identifiable data included in such information is properly protected and withheld from disclosure to the public.</text></paragraph></subsection></section><section id="id84AA914F0D764CB8BB1E4D0CD494CB9B" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Report to Congress</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Secretary shall submit a report to Congress on the opportunity zone incentives enacted by section 13823 of <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/115/97">Public Law 115–97</external-xref>, beginning 5 years after the date of enactment of this Act and annually thereafter, which shall include the information described in section 1(a).</text></section><section id="id5F8DBC5C4DA84E0ABD09CCEA5479A51A"><enum>3.</enum><header>Information regarding investments</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Subject to subsection (c) of section 1, the Secretary shall make the information submitted pursuant to subsection (b) of such section publicly available, with such information to be made available not later than the date which is 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act and annually thereafter, following the initial reporting of such information by any qualified opportunity fund.</text></section></legis-body></bill>
