R. 5472</legis-num><current-chamber display="yes">IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date>December 18, 2020</action-date><action-desc>Received</action-desc></action><legis-type>AN ACT</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To redesignate the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site as the <quote>Jimmy Carter National Historical Park</quote>.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HA73501BDC3474CDD8ABDD7A6CA3B9EA7" style="OLC"><section id="H8E7B66AC0CEE4D48B46D4CDC7EDCED1C" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Jimmy Carter National Historical Park Redesignation Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H1E705DCE766746519537CD9279979063"><enum>2.</enum><header>Designation of Jimmy Carter National Historical Park</header><subsection id="H7DF1896B13D948318CB1B631CDAFF22A"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The Jimmy Carter National Historic Site shall be known and designated as the <quote>Jimmy Carter National Historical Park</quote>.</text></subsection><subsection id="H6DF9BF2D2763407AA71051289FA1746F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Amendments to <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/100/206">Public Law 100–206</external-xref></header><text>Public Law 100–206 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/54/320101">54 U.S.C. 320101</external-xref> note; 101 Stat. 1434) is amended—</text><paragraph id="H035ABECA66F747589703C24967736982"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in section 1(a), in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking <quote>National Historic Site</quote> and inserting <quote>National Historical Park</quote>;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H4575D1AEBF1443C394DD47B3A9158AA9"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in section 3—</text><subparagraph id="HAEC6DE246FDD45E6B64B8103EEB7C836"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in subsection (a), by striking <quote>provisions of law generally applicable to national historic sites</quote> and inserting <quote>provisions of law generally applicable to units of the National Park System</quote>; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HE7ACBC12FFEB42D0ACE7EDB19C87AFD1"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in subsection (d), in the second sentence, by striking <quote>National Historic Site</quote> and inserting <quote>National Historical Park</quote>;</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HA0184C4842B841758A7397FAAD320CB7"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in section 6(2), by striking <quote>National Historic Site</quote> and inserting <quote>National Historical Park</quote>;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H7731DAAE8E8947BBB68EB7FDEEB0D013"><enum>(4)</enum><text>by striking <quote>historic site</quote> each place it appears and inserting <quote>historical park</quote>;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H568AF2FAEE404C54B39E66F4FBD17C6D"><enum>(5)</enum><text>by striking <quote>historic site</quote> each place it appears and inserting <quote>historical park</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HEB7EADF478B64F68A87CA7828C1DED16"><enum>(6)</enum><text>by striking <quote>Historic Site</quote> each place it appears and inserting <quote>Historical Park</quote>.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H9ECAD53A6A2248A386E6196F57F9A017"><enum>(c)</enum><header>References</header><text>Any reference in any law, regulation, document, record, map, or other paper of the United States to the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site shall be considered to be a reference to the <quote>Jimmy Carter National Historical Park</quote>.</text></subsection></section></legis-body><attestation><attestation-group><attestation-date date="20201217" chamber="House">Passed the House of Representatives December 17, 2020.</attestation-date><attestor display="yes">Cheryl L.
