 <section commented="no" id="H3B32CA910F63425992CBF2D43641D584" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Nutria eradication in California</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Nutria Eradication and Control Act of 2003 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/108/16">Public Law 108–16</external-xref>) is amended—</text> <paragraph id="HF7CC19C737A44B97BAC8AA32F8383836"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in section 2—</text>
 <subparagraph commented="no" id="HCF66419CE8384154884693502599336A"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in subsection (a)—</text> <clause commented="no" id="H75639E49E1B040B593B6512342CFF35A"><enum>(i)</enum><text>in paragraph (2), by striking <quote>Maryland and Louisiana</quote> and inserting <quote>Maryland, Louisiana, and California</quote>; and</text>
 </clause><clause commented="no" id="H21F5605CACC64DDA8FDB2DEA8097E131"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>in paragraph (3), by striking <quote>Louisiana. Consequently, marsh loss is accelerating.</quote> and inserting <quote>Louisiana and California. Consequently, marsh loss, loss of public and private wetlands, and loss of agricultural lands are accelerating.</quote>; and</text>
 </clause></subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" id="H109658A023B8453D84B840C5F2D7A0A9"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in subsection (b), by striking <quote>the State of Maryland and the State of Louisiana</quote> and inserting <quote>Maryland, Louisiana, and California</quote>; and</text> </subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H7B4C3CB39F0946ECB5B780A74CFA3976"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in section 3—</text>
 <subparagraph id="H642488AB406744D0988B0C3983690C28"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by amending subsection (a) to read as follows:</text> <quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HDB10677416F74B3CA0CE463D333EF3C4" style="OLC"> <subsection id="HB55DC206A754434B8FADED2D9DF28DA5"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Grant authority</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of the Interior (referred to in this Act as the <quote>Secretary</quote>), subject to the availability of appropriations, may provide financial assistance to Maryland, Louisiana, and California for a program to implement measures to eradicate or control nutria and restore marshland, public and private wetlands, and agricultural lands damaged by nutria.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>;</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="H6CAD4B0694A2490EB3597C41B5EC887B"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by amending subsection (b) to read as follows:</text> <quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HDE5D9F5295F64DD384B45921F7DF1001" style="OLC"> <subsection id="H306D83AA64224F48BDEC2F334DFBB5B7"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Goals</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The goals of the program shall be to—</text>
 <paragraph id="HBD8E20EB99714EFB9B83F94A17265891"><enum>(1)</enum><text>eradicate nutria in Maryland and California;</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="H82093FB7A96641D39CAC6E59BDDE2EF2"><enum>(2)</enum><text>eradicate or control nutria in Louisiana; and</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="HAFAC65EF7E704CEDB1CDE6C04E26AB2C"><enum>(3)</enum><text>restore marshland, public and private wetlands, and agricultural lands damaged by nutria.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </subparagraph><subparagraph id="H21A14195EEE54A6D806912275E685772"><enum>(C)</enum><text>in subsection (f), by striking <quote>State of Maryland</quote> and all that follows and inserting <quote>Maryland program, $2,000,000 for the Louisiana program, and $7,000,000 for the California program for each of fiscal years 2020 through 2025.</quote> </text>
