 <section id="H521D9ED05EC94311B9349241E1CD8341" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Vet Center Eligibility Expansion Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H6D03502802FA4E7080D2984016674D9E" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Expansion of Vet Center services</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1712A of title 38, United States Code, is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="H730F0D9FD5E94E8B82C32B6DAFA9186D"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>clauses (i) through (iv)</quote> both places it appears and inserting <quote>clauses (i) through (vi)</quote>;</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="H7294853616EE4BBC9ED80EA94128F1B2"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking <quote>in clause (v)</quote> both places it appears and inserting <quote>in clause (vii)</quote>;</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H1FC479C4274A49A3A9740F69ADA5EA94"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in subsection (a)(1)(C)—</text> <subparagraph id="H25C0A18802A44848B777E17D50F8268E"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by redesignating clauses (iv) and (v) as clauses (vi) and (vii), respectively; and</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="H36AC495DAB014A0986D9742B565F9D48"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by inserting after clause (iii) the following new clauses:</text> <quoted-block changed="added" committee-id="HVR00" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H2D22FB9A00CB4ECF95ACBAAEF7A1E63E" reported-display-style="italic" style="USC"> <clause id="HD22BDD7FD1E54BE5BFFA753E2683852A" indent="up2"><enum>(iv)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Any individual who is a veteran or member of the Armed Forces, including a member of a reserve component of the Armed Forces, who served—</text>
 <subclause id="H4FE3ED3BF5BB4C1483D77FEDA9996202"><enum>(I)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">on active service in response to a national emergency or major disaster declared by the President; or</text>
 </subclause><subclause id="HDB4E9C8BE44140C7AA63CA37601ECB5B"><enum>(II)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in the National Guard of a State under orders of the chief executive of that State in response to a disaster or civil disorder in such State.</text>
 </subclause></clause><clause id="HDDDE982A94E94B4D976C826FB76D1A66" indent="up2"><enum>(v)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Any individual who participated in a drug interdiction operation as a member of the Coast Guard, regardless of the location of that operation.</text></clause><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
 </subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HC79D60F69FB241A4BE0D3BC5EA0AD663"><enum>(4)</enum><text>in subsection (h), by adding at the end the following new paragraphs:</text> <quoted-block changed="added" committee-id="HVR00" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H31DCE38973FA4C868F06717E71C3F571" reported-display-style="italic" style="USC"> <paragraph id="H8C2F2A8BDCCF42E8B67D49CD05385FA8"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <quote>active service</quote> has the meaning given that term in section 101 of title 10.</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H4187C871008346E7B779BA36D8C903F6"><enum>(5)</enum><text>The term <quote>civil disorder</quote> has the meaning given that term in section 232 of title 18.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </paragraph></section><section id="HEB86C83A65A24422BC22ACFB81EEBB6A"><enum>3.</enum><header>Plan to provide Vet Center services to veterans living in areas where no Vet Center is located</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall submit to the Committees on Veterans’ Affairs of the Senate and House of Representatives a plan to provide Vet Center services to veterans living in geographic areas where no Vet Center is located, including in the United States insular areas.</text>
