 <section id="idD5383DBE8899404C818BFFF4B915AE0D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Global Food Security Reauthorization Act of 2017</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="idB9E91A91E926461AA236727389485563" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Authorization of appropriations</header> <subsection id="id68DF0BB32AB845B18C6ADA289A9E66D8"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Assistance To implement the Global Food Security Strategy</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 6(b) of the Global Food Security Act of 2016 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/22/9305">22 U.S.C. 9305(b)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>fiscal years 2017 and 2018</quote> and inserting <quote>fiscal years 2017 through 2023</quote>.</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="id17C5C558307643C2BFCE061228BB78B9"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Emergency Food Security Program</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 492(a) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/22/2292a">22 U.S.C. 2292a(a)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>fiscal years 2017 and 2018</quote> and inserting <quote>fiscal years 2017 through 2023</quote>.</text> </subsection></section><section id="id8E3D52F45EA947B1A81B8DDBA8FB7A73"><enum>3.</enum><header>Global Food Security Strategy Implementation Reports</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 8(a) of the Global Food Security Act of 2016 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/22/9307">22 U.S.C. 9307(a)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="id508381F7E0404C6FA1EE161C217B993F"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking <quote>Not later than 1 year and 2 years</quote> and inserting <quote>During each of the first 7 years</quote>; and</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="idD4528B493F7A4891B2EB159FDF71942B"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking <quote>for 2017 and 2018</quote> and inserting <quote>at the end of the reporting period</quote>.</text></paragraph></section></legis-body><endorsement><action-date>May 22, 2018</action-date><action-desc>Reported without amendment</action-desc></endorsement></bill>
