                                                          May 25, 2017.
    Resolved, That the bill from the Senate (S. 1083) entitled ``An Act 
to amend section 1214 of title 5, United States Code, to provide for 
stays during a period that the Merit Systems Protection Board lacks a 
quorum.'', do pass with the following

                               AMENDMENT:

            In section 1214(b)(1)(B)(ii) of title 5, United States 
      Code, as proposed to be added by section 1(2) of the Senate 
      engrossed bill, strike ``shall'' and insert ``may''.
