 <section id="H3E3A544C953E4BDA8AB0FBF9C3FA756C" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Traumatic Brain Injury Program Reauthorization Act of 2018</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="HFCD8826253B14D689A443E989A88B70B"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prevention and control of injuries</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Part J of title III of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/280b">42 U.S.C. 280b</external-xref> et seq.) is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="H7718C72176314E05954163AFF8A7D450"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in section 393C (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/280b-1d">42 U.S.C. 280b–1d</external-xref>) by adding at the end the following:</text> <quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HF26C7C84CC914A0BB0FD3C3400B7B076" style="OLC"> <subsection id="H072939BD2B6A4FB1A4D8EC1F5217E4A6"><enum>(c)</enum><header>National concussion surveillance system</header><text>The Secretary, acting through the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, may implement a national concussion surveillance system to determine the prevalence and incidence of concussion.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H6B52145C69904C18BA50DC12E467FE09"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in section 394A (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/280b-3">42 U.S.C. 280b–3</external-xref>)—</text> <subparagraph id="H6EFD88626D4B43B79DC244877D99234D"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (b)—</text>
 <clause id="HFDED3BBEB9924AE49859B9EAE719B5C0"><enum>(i)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>393B and 393C</quote> and inserting <quote>393B, 393C(a), and 393C(b)</quote>; and</text> </clause><clause id="HA0B0A4E723FF43A8B7A4E29CB2085C2D"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>$6,564,000 for each of fiscal years 2015 through 2019</quote> and inserting <quote>$6,750,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2024</quote>; and</text>
 </clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H274E5B12B7864D62B2E222C4E7EDD17E"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text> <quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H3E6C1FF3417848E1BFB49D3CAC39B3AB" style="OLC"> <subsection id="H1E88EC8AED814D44B5F7F1DA43BD8DA5"><enum>(c)</enum><header>National concussion surveillance system</header><text>To carry out section 393C(c), there are authorized to be appropriated $5,000,000 for fiscal year 2019, and such sums as may be necessary for each fiscal year thereafter.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
 </subparagraph></paragraph></section><section id="H725101122F3E41FC95B85A85247445A3"><enum>3.</enum><header>State grants for projects regarding traumatic brain injury</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1252 of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300d-52">42 U.S.C. 300d–52</external-xref>) is amended—</text> <paragraph id="HBFA89C0F5FDD4D529AC8BB75D64B54A4"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (a), by inserting <quote>, acting through the Administrator for the Administration for Community Living,</quote> after <quote>The Secretary</quote>;</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="HA84377BE1C9B471FA1BE0F80EE8291BB"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking subsection (e);</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="H651B130B317C4898B3E416CE0B763601"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by redesignating subsections (f) through (j) as subsections (e) through (i), respectively; and</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="HC44311C5CE7940828E4F676571ECA09F"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (i), as so redesignated, by striking <quote>$5,500,000 for each of the fiscal years 2015 through 2019</quote> and inserting <quote>$7,321,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2024</quote>.</text> </paragraph></section><section id="H74D712947D614420B8D825CF010F0A50"><enum>4.</enum><header>State grants for protection and advocacy services</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1253 of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300d-53">42 U.S.C. 300d–53</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="H5A9CACFCB8BB47E7A2FA9DEC30D30F6C"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (a), by inserting <quote>, acting through the Administrator for the Administration for Community Living,</quote> after <quote>The Secretary</quote>; and</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="HD39EFD808146470196E538DAE5FF06B6"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (l), by striking <quote>$3,100,000 for each of the fiscal years 2015 through 2019</quote> and inserting <quote>$4,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2024</quote>.</text>
