<congress display="no">115th CONGRESS</congress><session display="no">2d Session</session><legis-num display="no">H.R. 6615</legis-num><current-chamber display="yes">In the Senate of the United States,</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20181218">December 18, 2018.</action-date></action><legis-type display="yes">Amendment:</legis-type></engrossed-amendment-form><engrossed-amendment-body><section id="idf7750ad4fd1f4675b28c4dab94f01f1d" section-type="resolved"><text>That the bill from the House of Representatives (H.R. 6615) entitled <quote>An Act to reauthorize the Traumatic Brain Injury program.</quote>, do pass with the following</text></section><amendment><amendment-instruction blank-lines-after="0"><text>Strike all after the enacting clause and insert the following:</text></amendment-instruction><amendment-block blank-lines-after="1" changed="added" reported-display-style="italic" style="OLC"><section id="idb05c7532-6dc7-4880-88c6-469c15792eca" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Traumatic Brain Injury Program Reauthorization Act of 2018</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id579250cd-579f-41fd-a498-fd58c9962d48"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prevention and control of injuries</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Part J of title III of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/280b">42 U.S.C. 280b</external-xref> et seq.) is amended—</text><paragraph id="id2714788a-6f1a-4f43-9327-f6318873a47d"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in section 393C (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/280b-1d">42 U.S.C. 280b–1d</external-xref>) by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id502bf71d-c29f-4436-8e7e-d53bc54f60e4" style="OLC"><subsection id="id68012b72-a959-4824-9cb5-991d77d72d38"><enum>(c)</enum><header>National concussion data collection and analysis</header><text>The Secretary, acting through the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, may implement concussion data collection and analysis to determine the prevalence and incidence of concussion.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>;</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph><paragraph id="id1619572f-bad3-43d0-b780-41aebcaac8ab"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in section 394A(b)(<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/280b-3">42 U.S.C. 280b–3(b)</external-xref>), by striking <quote>$6,564,000 for each of fiscal years 2015 through 2019</quote> and inserting <quote>$11,750,000 for each of fiscal years 2020 through 2024</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id75E7BF37445E429CBEC26E604F9AAE7E"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by striking section 393C–1 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/280b-1e">42 U.S.C. 280b–1e</external-xref>).</text></paragraph></section><section id="id3e787c14-547b-4163-a1d2-7cadf3472128"><enum>3.</enum><header>State grants for projects regarding traumatic brain injury</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1252 of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300d-52">42 U.S.C. 300d–52</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="idb5ade24b-9601-430f-8988-e6455daa76d9"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (a), by inserting <quote>, acting through the Administrator for the Administration for Community Living,</quote> after <quote>The Secretary</quote>;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idd3134d55-5ebf-4209-9bf7-adbb9c7245a8"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking subsection (e);</text></paragraph><paragraph id="ide25899bf-9131-4dc4-affa-3bc380c8368e"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by redesignating subsections (f) through (j) as subsections (e) through (i), respectively; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idaca9e68f-bd31-4b9c-9699-582919312d99"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (i), as so redesignated, by striking <quote>$5,500,000 for each of the fiscal years 2015 through 2019</quote> and inserting <quote>$7,321,000 for each of fiscal years 2020 through 2024</quote>.</text></paragraph></section><section id="id851ed985-e974-4750-a653-bd209fafe671"><enum>4.</enum><header>State grants for protection and advocacy services</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1253 of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300d-53">42 U.S.C. 300d–53</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="id8e105d8a-0eb6-4a50-93f7-71a581c9b76e"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (a), by inserting <quote>, acting through the Administrator for the Administration for Community Living,</quote> after <quote>The Secretary</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id292cea86-d209-45df-92b3-faddfe122750"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (l), by striking <quote>$3,100,000 for each of the fiscal years 2015 through 2019</quote> and inserting <quote>$4,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2020 through 2024</quote>.</text></paragraph></section></amendment-block></amendment></engrossed-amendment-body><attestation><attestation-group><attestor></attestor><role>Secretary</role></attestation-group></attestation><endorsement></endorsement></amendment-doc>
