 <section id="HAE9C0A1094634548AF906C68DB490648" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Guidance from National Mental Health and Substance Use Policy Laboratory</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 501A(b) of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/290aa-0">42 U.S.C. 290aa–0(b)</external-xref>) is amended—</text> <paragraph id="H7575637868CA45BEA3A35319E7FEAD53"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (5), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H0B9D43327C11484CBE42889F8E6CF5E1"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (6), by striking the period at the end and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="HA8C637F9B52241E28FD64916549716FD"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H577C5E9801244E36BE8B2959C4D83A01" style="OLC">
 <paragraph id="H5E1B9294557D43F280053D8D4C4FB708"><enum>(7)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">issue and periodically update guidance for entities applying for grants from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration in order to—</text>
 <subparagraph id="H4BF1B96FF3274488940F77A676B1A61A"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">encourage the funding of evidence-based practices;</text> </subparagraph><subparagraph id="H02031C7A5D494C71B88CE2BFC9D4EBA1"><enum>(B)</enum><text>encourage the replication of promising or effective practices; and</text>
