 <subsection id="HEBBC5E2D28B346C9AD24AEB3A9FC93DC"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Availability of Funds</header><text>Notwithstanding section 1502(a) of title 31, United States Code, of the amount authorized to be appropriated for fiscal year 2018 by section 103 for Missile Procurement, Air Force, $6,334,000 shall be available for the procurement of covered parts pursuant to contracts entered into under section 1645(a) of the Carl Levin and Howard P. <quote>Buck</quote> McKeon National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/113/291">Public Law 113–291</external-xref>; 128 Stat. 3651).</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="H48699377E9944AD8898B30BFADBE94E6"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Covered Parts Defined</header><text>In this section, the term <quote>covered parts</quote> means commercially available off-the-shelf items as defined in section 104 of title 41, United States Code.</text>
					</subsection></section></subtitle><subtitle id="H8C0C4F6FC7E34087A8CF19C1B1116842"><enum>C</enum><header>Defense-wide, Joint, and Multiservice Matters</header>
 <section id="HCD3B453AF49D46ADA4A411126CDCCFEA"><enum>121.</enum><header>F–35 Economic order quantity contracting authority</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Secretary of Defense may enter into one or more contracts during fiscal year 2018 for the procurement of economic order quantities of material and equipment that has completed formal hardware qualification testing for the F–35 aircraft for use in procurement contracts to be awarded during fiscal years 2019 and 2020. The total amount obligated under all contracts entered into under this section shall not exceed $661,000,000.</text>

 <paragraph id="H59E7B54A2F6143CF9388834664B4ED59"><enum>(3)</enum><text>Notwithstanding the limitations in subsections (c)(1)(E) and (f)(1), the Secretary of Defense may, as part of a program to recapitalize the Ready Reserve Force component of the National Defense Reserve Fleet and the Military Sealift Command surge fleet, purchase used vessels, regardless of where constructed, from among those vessels previously participating in the Maritime Security Fleet, if available at a reasonable cost, as determined by the Secretary of Defense. If those previously participating vessels are not available at a reasonable cost, used vessels comparable to those previously participating vessels may be purchased from any source, regardless of where constructed, if available at a reasonable cost, as determined by the Secretary of Defense.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
