			 Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy. </official-title></form><legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" style="OLC"><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Approval of Agreement for Cooperation Between the Government of the
			 United States of America and the Government of the Kingdom of Norway
			 Concerning
 Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy</header><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id208f44484d294be4963919d83f100335"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding the provisions for congressional consideration of a proposed agreement for cooperation in subsection d. of section 123 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/2153">42 U.S.C. 2153</external-xref>), the Agreement for Cooperation Between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the Kingdom of Norway Concerning Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy, done at Washington June 11, 2016, may be brought into effect on or after the date of the enactment of this Act, as if all the requirements in such section for consideration of such agreement had been satisfied, subject to subsection (b).</text></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ide342716a65de40aea6383f7bd7c134e1"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Applicability of Atomic Energy Act of 1954 and Other Provisions of Law</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Upon entering into effect, the agreement referred to in subsection (a) shall be subject to the provisions of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/2011">42 U.S.C. 2011 et seq.</external-xref>) and any other applicable United States law as if such agreement had come into effect in accordance with the requirements of section 123 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/2153">42 U.S.C. 2153</external-xref>).</text></subsection></section></legis-body><attestation><attestation-group><attestor display="no"></attestor><role>Speaker of the House of Representatives</role></attestation-group><attestation-group><attestor display="no"></attestor><role>Vice President of the United States and President of the Senate</role></attestation-group></attestation></bill>
