 <section id="H5FE4080B826A4FF285E01BAA0A48AC50" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Taxpayer Bailout Protection Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="HDB3B288F452B4877B71C83F84A04AC49" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Restrictions on PPACA risk corridor program</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1342(b) of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/18062">42 U.S.C. 18062(b)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
 <paragraph id="H7A559C1C5C8241758090C47EB1DEC96F"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1), by striking <quote>The Secretary</quote> and inserting <quote>Subject to paragraph (3), the Secretary</quote>; and</text> </paragraph><paragraph id="H76D93899738D422FADB3F8BF0920AA5E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new paragraph:</text>

					<paragraph id="H3DCFAF5979B94A07BCF66F7656535233"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Safeguard to protect taxpayers</header>
 <subparagraph id="H314197F99D6246CBA5EF8CF2AC087FE9"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary shall ensure that the amount of payments to plans under paragraph (1) for a plan year beginning during calendar year 2014, 2015, or 2016 does not exceed the amount of payments to the Secretary under paragraph (2) for such plan year.</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="H9B2518AA94834A9982E07895D56308B1"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Adjustment to protect taxpayers</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary shall proportionately decrease the amount of payments to plans under paragraph (1) in order to ensure that the requirement of subparagraph (A) is satisfied each year.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
