			 2014 will not take effect until after the Director of the Office of
			 Personnel Management promulgates and makes effective regulations
 relating to such provisions.</official-title></form><legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" style="OLC"><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id44DB9EE95FED425B8657993894DA0225" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Effective dates</header><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idB9BD70BF5E8141D685AB2C910C692B6F"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2 of the <short-title>Border Patrol Agent Pay Reform Act of 2014</short-title> (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/113/277">Public Law 113–277</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ide9692ca8989641728315e54ba3f68cd5" style="OLC"><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id88404cc0e66d404e9bbb5d68b65ff0e0"><enum>(i)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Effective dates</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsections (b), (c), (d), and (g), and the amendments made by such subsections, shall take effect on the first day of the first pay period beginning on or after January 1, 2016, except that—</text><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id5fa60656410548018edf383e748e2554"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">any provision in section 5550(b) of title 5, United States Code, as added by subsection (b), relating to administering elections and making advance assignments to a regular tour of duty, shall be applicable before such effective date to the extent determined necessary by the Director of the Office of Personnel Management; and</text></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id9310e24fd9f540a79765e3fab7c10623"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the Director of the Office of Personnel Management may issue such regulations as may be necessary before such effective date.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id203722829243431abe143c08528f0a64"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Retroactive application</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendment made by subsection (a) shall be deemed to have been enacted on the date of the enactment of the <short-title>Border Patrol Agent Pay Reform Act of 2014</short-title>.</text></subsection></section></legis-body><attestation><attestation-group><attestation-date chamber="Senate" date="20150514">Passed the Senate May 14, 2015.</attestation-date><attestor display="no"></attestor><role>Secretary</role></attestation-group></attestation><endorsement display="yes"></endorsement></bill>
