		<official-title display="yes">To require the Secretary of Commerce to conduct an assessment and analysis of the outdoor
			 recreation economy of the United States, and for other purposes.</official-title>

 <section id="HCA46DB39CDEB45DCB58E4D72FE4FC98D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Outdoor Recreation Jobs and Economic Impact Act of 2016</short-title></quote>.</text> </section><section id="H82090B17AA69462889BE30D48A1B3653"><enum>2.</enum><header>Assessment and analysis of outdoor recreation economy of the United States</header> <subsection id="HDECDF67060BF49A184FE856562CCE935"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Assessment and analysis</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of Commerce shall enter into a joint memorandum with the Secretary of Agriculture and the Secretary of the Interior to conduct, acting through the Director of the Bureau of Economic Analysis, an assessment and analysis of the outdoor recreation economy of the United States and the effects attributable to such economy on the overall economy of the United States.</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="H16BF15E417FE4F8BB9523CF2546E3191"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Considerations</header><text>In conducting the assessment required by subsection (a), the Secretary of Commerce may consider employment, sales, and contributions to travel and tourism, and such other contributing components of the outdoor recreation economy of the United States as the Secretary considers appropriate.</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="H79876952B7B944D497310D3DB333EA65"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Consultation</header><text>In carrying out the assessment required by subsection (a), the Secretary of Commerce shall consult with—</text>
 <paragraph id="H2D237A3CB8274DC48EF78CE04B30AF82"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the heads of such agencies and offices of the Federal Government as the Secretary considers appropriate, including the Secretary of Agriculture, the Secretary of the Interior, the Federal Recreation Council, the Director of the Bureau of the Census, and the Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics; and</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="HDA06F6C9ADE245EAB014F051902C51F7"><enum>(2)</enum><text>representatives of businesses, including small business concerns, that engage in commerce in the outdoor recreation economy of the United States.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HB9AD1F28E0054ED9A12BD6CA8E1F7314"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Report</header>
 <paragraph id="H6056282E4B4643E295F93FBCE6AC4B2A"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Not later than 2 years after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Commerce shall submit to the appropriate committees of Congress a report on the findings of the Secretary with respect to the assessment conducted under subsection (a).</text>
 </paragraph><paragraph id="H2FFA58C02190422FA77EA89EEF6B3F70"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Appropriate committees of Congress</header><text>In this subsection, the term <term>appropriate committees of Congress</term> means—</text> <subparagraph id="H40309B92CD074908817130DF59032C3B"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the <committee-name committee-id="SSCM00">Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate</committee-name>;</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="H49C11DA8859C47768283D9DFAE7075EE"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the <committee-name committee-id="SSEV00">Committee on Environment and Public Works of the Senate</committee-name>;</text> </subparagraph><subparagraph id="H1CD0003ADE914379AA343A0B78686966"><enum>(C)</enum><text>the <committee-name committee-id="SSEG00">Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate</committee-name>;</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="HDEEF7C170E9947ED8EA8D141EE32683B"><enum>(D)</enum><text>the <committee-name committee-id="SSSB00">Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship of the Senate</committee-name>;</text> </subparagraph><subparagraph id="H7EB306B4BD2B48A084F164FE01EFD89A"><enum>(E)</enum><text>the <committee-name committee-id="">Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives</committee-name>; and</text>
 </subparagraph><subparagraph id="H711D51C44136415D8852C86176FE5A55"><enum>(F)</enum><text>the <committee-name committee-id="">Committee on Small Business of the House of Representatives</committee-name>.</text> </subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H1C0A5E6810334EBBB3BA0840E68865A9"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Small business concern defined</header><text>In this section, the term <term>small business concern</term> has the meaning given such term under section 3 of the Small Business Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/632">15 U.S.C. 632</external-xref>).</text>
 </subsection><subsection id="H2F177012A1EF4A5C9970D095C1A7B075"><enum>(f)</enum><header>No additional funds authorized</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">No additional funds are authorized to carry out the requirements of this Act. Such requirements shall be carried out using amounts otherwise authorized.</text>
