<congress display="no">114th CONGRESS</congress><session display="no">1st Session</session><legis-num display="no">H.R. 3116</legis-num><current-chamber display="yes">In the Senate of the United States,</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20151006">October 6, 2015.</action-date></action><legis-type display="yes">Amendment:</legis-type></engrossed-amendment-form><engrossed-amendment-body><section id="id2ff12c9405de4bdf9608c28240b1824d" section-type="resolved"><text>That the bill from the House of Representatives (H.R. 3116) entitled <quote>An Act to extend by 15 years the authority of the Secretary of Commerce to conduct the quarterly financial report program.</quote>, do pass with the following</text></section><amendment><amendment-instruction blank-lines-after="0"><text>At the appropriate place, insert the following:</text></amendment-instruction><amendment-block blank-lines-after="1" changed="added" reported-display-style="italic"><section id="idA6432B65CFF5454FB289AB66ED260D59"><enum>3.</enum><header>Report on data security procedures of the Bureau of the Census</header><subsection id="id0CC842FE63DA4ACB89519D58F8C92B74"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Review</header><text>The Secretary of Commerce shall conduct a review of the data security procedures of the Bureau of the Census, including such procedures that have been implemented since the data breaches of systems of the Office of Personnel Management were announced in 2015.</text></subsection><subsection id="id52A2C1E1790A405F83B152D8EB68CFE1"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Report</header><paragraph id="idB8598C1B8C4A4A98ABF715796C0A004F"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Requirement</header><text>Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Commerce shall submit to the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs of the Senate and the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform of the House of Representatives a report on the review required by subsection (a).</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idC3A75BE3BD46493E907CD9DB49495D77"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Contents</header><text>The report required by paragraph (1) shall—</text><subparagraph id="id48BC4939ACFC41C3B4AB0064BFC6544F"><enum>(A)</enum><text>identify all information systems of the Bureau of the Census that contain sensitive information;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id5C0D7E4923AD473FA1913925AA401E98"><enum>(B)</enum><text>described any actions carried out by the Secretary of Commerce or the Director of the Bureau of the Census to secure sensitive information that have been implemented since the data breaches of systems of the Office of Personnel Management were announced in 2015;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="idF8435A14443E41BD8173E619D1453867"><enum>(C)</enum><text>identify any known data breaches of information systems of the Bureau of the Census that contain sensitive information; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id97E8DFF81A3F4E428860FE8D60821379"><enum>(D)</enum><text>identify whether the Bureau of the Census stores any information that, if combined with other such information, would comprise classified information.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection></section></amendment-block></amendment></engrossed-amendment-body><attestation><attestation-group><attestor></attestor><role>Secretary</role></attestation-group></attestation><endorsement></endorsement></amendment-doc>
