<section id="H149A740EBBE7488AAC8205EBC30B40EB" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Excluding certain cotton futures contracts from coverage under United States Cotton Futures Act</header> 
<subsection id="H29067C5D6FB34E36A883D7C3DF0E3CD8"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (c)(1) of the United States Cotton Futures Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/7/15B">7 U.S.C. 15B(c)(1)</external-xref>) is amended—</text> <paragraph id="H8D496FBB9141469F8CF7EE1E70248086"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking <quote>except that any cotton futures contract</quote> and inserting the following:</text> 
<quoted-block display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="H6A11BFCC61544FB4B4DB3E72613372FB" style="traditional"><text>except that—</text> <subparagraph id="H69CA9468D38548F49E0C696AFCC2F873"><enum>(A)</enum><text>any cotton futures contract</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>; </after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HA77A699F23A64F17A98B2B44256CFF80"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subparagraph (A) (as designated by paragraph (1)), by striking the period at the end and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and </text></paragraph> <paragraph id="HEC6A5CE2C22D4218BBFCCD03B7514458"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new subparagraph:</text>

<subparagraph id="HAEFBE15B8FCC43BCB3672CEFFD28E439"><enum>(B)</enum><text>any cotton futures contract that permits tender of cotton grown outside of the United States is excluded from the coverage of this paragraph and section to the extent that the cotton grown outside of the United States is tendered for delivery under the cotton futures contract.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="H3788B3A3A3F9452891FBA861ADB4B70E"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Application</header><text>The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply with respect to cotton futures contracts entered into on or after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section>
