		<official-title>To improve and increase the availability of on-job
		  training and apprenticeship programs carried out by the Secretary of Veterans
		  Affairs, and for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="HAD8A403661054B618139652C29A8526B" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Improving Job Opportunities for
			 Veterans Act of 2013</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H6ED08091C16F4F718678DFE54C385788"><enum>2.</enum><header>Public relations
			 campaign</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Secretary of
			 Veterans Affairs shall carry out a public relations campaign, including
			 exercising the authority under <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/532">section 532</external-xref> of title 38, United States Code, to
			 advertise in national media outlets, to promote Department of Veterans Affairs
			 on-job training and apprenticeship programs available to veterans as highly
			 efficient and cost-effective ways of obtaining jobs.</text>
		</section><section id="H173D38D5624A4DDCAB64EB866D569120"><enum>3.</enum><header>Authority to
			 increase availability of private sector on-job training programs</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">During the three-year period beginning on
			 the date that is one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the
			 Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall carry out section 3677(b)(1)(A) of title
			 38, United States Code, by substituting <quote>75 per centum</quote> for
			 <quote>85 per centum</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H344FA37DA16847FFBDA44D4520921F08"><enum>4.</enum><header>On-job training
			 at Federal departments and agencies</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Beginning on the date that is one year after
			 the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall
			 enter into agreements with the heads of other Federal departments and agencies
			 to operate programs of training on the job under <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/3677">section 3677</external-xref> of title 38,
			 United States Code, to train eligible veterans or persons to perform skills
			 necessary for employment by the department or agency operating the
			 program.</text>
		</section><section id="HB1324F1D90524E0AA860FB8196E091E8"><enum>5.</enum><header>Extension of
			 reduced pension for certain veterans covered by medicaid plans for services
			 furnished by nursing facilities</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/5503">Section 5503(d)(7)</external-xref> of title 38, United
			 States Code, is amended by striking <quote>November 30, 2016</quote> and
			 inserting <quote>January 31, 2017</quote>.</text>
