		<official-title>To amend the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008
		  to terminate the authority of the Secretary of the Treasury to provide new
		  assistance under the Home Affordable Modification Program, while preserving
		  assistance to homeowners who were already extended an offer to participate in
		  the Program, either on a trial or permanent basis.</official-title>

		<section id="HE61A8E52CA8A49AAAACC44EB2C420667" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>HAMP Termination Act of
			 2011</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HA54D7D57E240459BA6A0C7B7A6FA911C"><enum>2.</enum><header>Termination of
			 authority</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 120 of the
			 Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (12 U.S.C. 5230) is amended by
			 adding at the end the following new subsection:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H9374CDE5B2FD4339A404C83E74F826F6" style="OLC">
				<subsection id="HBDDE5372BE9B40F5B111E249BE988D92"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Termination of
				authority To provide new assistance under the Home Affordable Modification
				Program</header>
					<paragraph id="H44D3AC2A39564A64A4EC236043DEE49B"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text>Except as provided under paragraph (2), after the date of
				the enactment of this subsection the Secretary may not provide any assistance
				under the Home Affordable Modification Program under the Making Home Affordable
				initiative of the Secretary, authorized under this Act, on behalf of any
				homeowner.</text>
					</paragraph><paragraph id="H09826EAAB889402E95C7220DA67FCEEA"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Protection of
				existing obligations on behalf of homeowners already extended an offer to
				participate in the Program</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Paragraph (1) shall not apply with respect
				to assistance provided on behalf of a homeowner who, before the date of the
				enactment of this subsection, was extended an offer to participate in the Home
				Affordable Modification Program on a trial or permanent
				basis.</text>
