		<official-title>To amend title 49, United States Code, to direct the
		  Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security, Transportation Security
		  Administration, to transfer unclaimed clothing recovered at airport security
		  checkpoints to local veterans organizations and other local charitable
		  organizations, and for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="H9CB5FCF8E6E643C3B1D8BBC7DAED6506" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Clothe a Homeless Hero
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H2D27EDEA48D44A01A0AFBCC62DE3EC05"><enum>2.</enum><header>Disposition of
			 unclaimed clothing recovered at airport security checkpoints</header>
			<subsection id="HA5F5A3919BC6489C8A4B6EAFEAE66D3F"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 44945 of
			 title 49, United States Code, is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H2EE4148FF54F4B7BB9A1E5877530CCA3"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in the section
			 heading, by inserting <quote><header-in-text level="section" style="USC">and
			 clothing</header-in-text></quote> after <quote><header-in-text level="section" style="USC">money</header-in-text></quote>;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H73D47D00FB89447F9C99ED0DD137D3E4"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>Notwithstanding</quote> and inserting the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id9480394CDE604BFC9683469CAF298DA9" style="OLC">
						<subsection id="id1ACADCFA6C6A4AC0926C56DC9E1AF53A"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Disposition of
				unclaimed
				money</header><text>Notwithstanding</text>
						</subsection><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HBC29F8073EC441FA8FA7F80E19CA603F"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following:</text>
					<quoted-block id="H19F319429BA64FBCA0AEC2702A19CC6D" style="USC">
						<subsection id="H063644DCEC72483EBB92FF213C189B42"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Disposition of
				unclaimed clothing</header>
							<paragraph id="HF32E4D676372405386E28594C69FA110"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text>In disposing of unclaimed clothing recovered at any
				airport security checkpoint, the Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security,
				Transportation Security Administration, in consultation with the Secretary of
				Veterans Affairs, shall make every reasonable effort to transfer such clothing
				to local veterans organizations or other local charitable organizations for
				distribution to homeless or needy veterans and veteran families.</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="HFE7B0DCCFEED4AD4BFA4DE782A144E48"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Agreements</header><text>The
				Assistant Secretary may enter into agreements with airport authorities to
				facilitate the implementation of paragraph (1).</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="H2558B586BD0C441FA6891ACCDF11CDE4"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Other charitable
				arrangements</header><text>Nothing in this subsection may be construed to
				prevent an airport or the Transportation Security Administration from donating
				unclaimed clothing to a charitable organization of their choosing.</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="H5268EF0DAF7F4788AD8C0641F6B6C1CA"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Limitation</header><text>Nothing
				in this subsection shall create a cost to the Federal
				Government.</text>
							</paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HB043A0BDEDC04183838D4709A411A62F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical
			 amendment</header><text>The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 449
			 of title 49, United States Code, is amended by striking the item relating to
			 section 44945 and inserting the following:</text>
