		<section id="idf6558084-d38c-4ce0-99b8-c0afd2a45f70" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short Title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Alpine Lakes Wilderness Additions and
			 Pratt and Middle Fork Snoqualmie Rivers Protection
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="id606e9077-c2ec-483f-a3c9-7710ad08264d" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Expansion of Alpine
			 Lakes Wilderness</header>
			<subsection id="id89494cf5-e0cc-4b38-ad81-ed3eecd900fa"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 General</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">There is designated
			 as wilderness and as a component of the National Wilderness Preservation System
			 certain Federal land in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in the State
			 of Washington comprising approximately 22,173 acres that is within the Proposed
			 Alpine Lakes Wilderness Additions Boundary, as generally depicted on the map
			 entitled <quote>Proposed Alpine Lakes Wilderness Additions</quote> and dated
			 December 3, 2009, which is incorporated in and shall be considered to be a part
			 of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="id991a25f3-0ca0-43d6-8daa-bc5a3e2bdff0"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Administration</header>
				<paragraph id="id76ad5b7d-f4c5-47d7-b579-7da3a696acf6"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Management</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subject to valid existing rights, the land
			 designated as wilderness by subsection (a) shall be administered by the
			 Secretary of Agriculture (referred to in this section as the
			 <quote>Secretary</quote>), in accordance with the Wilderness Act (16 U.S.C.
			 1131 et seq.), except that any reference in that Act to the effective date of
			 that Act shall be considered to be a reference to the date of enactment of this
			 Act.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="id6cad4b2b-8bcf-4d38-a667-6ec21f397497"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Map and
			 Description</header>
					<subparagraph id="id716e1a30-f47e-4f7c-b3ab-69630b7255e9"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In
			 General</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">As soon as
			 practicable after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall file a
			 map and a legal description of the land designated as wilderness by subsection
			 (a) with—</text>
						<clause id="idc07933ce-3e67-4a0c-9643-f0ed9efa07b1"><enum>(i)</enum><text>the Committee
			 on Natural Resources of the House of Representatives; and</text>
						</clause><clause id="id28c1db62-c62f-4616-bf55-5fffd0ee2cd6"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>the
			 Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate.</text>
						</clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="id0f7cd7b8-93a0-4480-b608-d31bf3fd0508"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Force of
			 Law</header><text>A map and legal description filed under subparagraph (A)
			 shall have the same force and effect as if included in this Act, except that
			 the Secretary may correct minor errors in the map and legal description.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ide038eafb-2dc8-4149-9acd-dbcd5cdb96d4"><enum>(C)</enum><header>Public
			 Availability</header><text>The map and legal description filed under
			 subparagraph (A) shall be filed and made available for public inspection in the
			 appropriate office of the Forest Service.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idA2F06893AB71457AA1766767E7A0B47B"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Incorporation
			 of acquired land and interests in land</header><text>Any land or interests in
			 land within the Proposed Alpine Lakes Wilderness Additions Boundary, as
			 generally depicted on the map entitled <quote>Proposed Alpine Lakes Wilderness
			 Additions</quote> and dated December 3, 2009, that is acquired by the United
			 States shall—</text>
				<paragraph commented="no" id="id8052b72f-ec9d-4cd7-bde3-a5d894451137"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">become part of the wilderness area;
			 and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" id="ideaa79c9b-a586-456b-a084-b3cfb1ffb863"><enum>(2)</enum><text>be managed in
			 accordance with subsection (b)(1).</text>
				</paragraph></subsection></section><section id="idbdd36bf8-d8f4-4751-a23f-3ec5989bee59"><enum>3.</enum><header>Wild and
			 Scenic River Designations</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3(a) of the Wild and Scenic Rivers
			 Act (16 U.S.C. 1274(a)) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id95fe955b-5643-4fbe-8a9e-6e627bc37308" style="OLC">
				<paragraph id="idc1f0ea58-6df1-40f1-8076-994249967e47"><enum>(208)</enum><header>Middle
				Fork Snoqualmie, Washington</header><text>The 27.4-mile segment from the
				headwaters of the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River near La Bohn Gap in NE
				<fraction>1/4</fraction> sec. 20, T. 24 N., R. 13 E., to the northern boundary
				of sec. 11, T. 23 N., R. 9 E., to be administered by the Secretary of
				Agriculture in the following classifications:</text>
					<subparagraph id="idfba2811b-cedc-4e5b-9931-8943a185c7f9"><enum>(A)</enum><text>The
				approximately 6.4-mile segment from the headwaters of the Middle Fork
				Snoqualmie River near La Bohn Gap in NE <fraction>1/4</fraction> sec. 20, T. 24
				N., R. 13 E., to the west section line of sec. 3, T. 23 N., R. 12 E., as a wild
				river.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="idb0febaff-f5dc-4c7d-ab75-e1e01f48c4fa"><enum>(B)</enum><text>The
				approximately 21-mile segment from the west section line of sec. 3, T. 23 N.,
				R. 12 E., to the northern boundary of sec. 11, T. 23 N., R. 9 E., as a scenic
				river.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id8528d414-27e7-462a-8a5b-4676dc59ef46"><enum>(209)</enum><header>Pratt
				River, Washington</header><text>The entirety of the Pratt River in the State of
				Washington, located in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, to be
				administered by the Secretary of Agriculture as a wild
				river.</text>
