		<official-title>To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to require the
		  use of domestic property to be eligible for certain tax incentives for solar
		  energy.</official-title>

			 be eligible for certain tax incentives for solar energy</header>
			<subsection id="id93B2F8CAF4AE4D1BAAE2BD157EEF30C3"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Residential
			 energy efficient property credit</header>
				<paragraph id="id1FFE43B5DEDA4CAEB8792700A6580E1D"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 25D(e) of the
			 Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by adding at the end the following new
			 paragraph:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id1678870AE21D4B448564F353C1F5ADC5" style="OLC">
						<paragraph id="id5090AF368040475CA19EEB298C70362F"><enum>(9)</enum><header>Domestic solar
				property only</header><text>No expenditure relating to property described in
				paragraph (1) or (2) of subsection (d) shall be taken into account for purposes
				of this section unless—</text>
							<subparagraph id="idC794C61FB09640F1AE640F4FC28A3F6F"><enum>(A)</enum><text>more than 70
				percent (by value) of the components of such property are made in the United
				States, or</text>
							</subparagraph><subparagraph id="id015D7A6FBE2B4753B3E160DFD2C24302"><enum>(B)</enum><text>more than 50
				percent (by value) of the components of such property are made in the United
				States and the final point of manufacture of such property is in the United
				States.</text>
							</subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="idD4C09F92F1F14189929B65D10FC0167E"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendment made by this subsection shall apply to
			 expenditures made after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idB5B1575DE8254D39A20D9048FE1991ED"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Energy
			 investment credit</header>
				<paragraph id="idD31C32D535794BC8B0803C96A3B39B59"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 48(a)(3) of
			 the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by adding at the end the following
			 new sentence: Such term shall not include property described in clause (i) or
			 (ii) of subparagraph (A) unless more than 70 percent (by value) of the
			 components of such property are made in the United States or unless more than
			 50 percent (by value) of the components of such property are made in the United
			 States and the final point of manufacture of such property is in the United
			 States.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="id6A94A81F93BB4A36A8EF6D3520BBFF07"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendment made by this subsection shall apply to periods
			 after the date of the enactment of this Act, under rules similar to the rules
			 of section 48(m) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (as in effect on the day
			 before the date of the enactment of the Revenue Reconciliation Act of
			 1990).</text>
				</paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body>
