		<official-title>To help middle class families succeed.</official-title>

		<section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short
			 title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as
			 the <quote><short-title>Middle Class Success
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="id010EEDA85AE145BAA52256A14D5CEE8A"><enum>2.</enum><header>Sense of the
			 Senate</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">It is the sense of the
			 Senate that Congress should—</text>
			<paragraph id="id5EFCAC8D55674233A2B526DD479D9192"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">support middle class tax relief;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id72C5EAC1DCBD48B3BE42EE698C2F68E6"><enum>(2)</enum><text>help families
			 afford the cost of college and improve opportunities for a secure
			 retirement;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id28A9A1863CF04015AA226CEE8AB614A3"><enum>(3)</enum><text>invest in
			 infrastructure and other measures to create good, well-paying jobs;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id9C9C559DEF8C41039D918B38E7F69420"><enum>(4)</enum><text>help ensure that
			 families have access to affordable child and elder care;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id41211D13D22E4B43A041B7345F65C98D"><enum>(5)</enum><text>preserve and
			 improve affordable health care;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="idA9D898B6D65E4A1BA4B83E88B8382153"><enum>(6)</enum><text>ensure that all
			 workers earn enough to meet basic living standards and do not live in
			 poverty;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="idEC2B733F9C0449D4B50E7BE1E2A73650"><enum>(7)</enum><text>ensure that tax
			 dollars do not support companies that break the law or mistreat their
			 workers;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id8364F88CC5384F27BDE56F833CDC1C6A"><enum>(8)</enum><text>keep Social
			 Security's promise and block proposals to privatize the program;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id6B0E2850628847C0B4A2A570D9186DA7"><enum>(9)</enum><text>ensure that
			 families have access to a healthy and clean environment, including access to
			 safe drinking water;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id3A734B6A37E74738A27D340C9516383D"><enum>(10)</enum><text>ensure that
			 workers can secure representation without employer obstruction;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="idDCA6BE4110B54AA5A4F1B6570F5B42CB"><enum>(11)</enum><text>ensure that our
			 streets and communities are safe; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id5B4ED2219C5C4891B55F51431C439E4C"><enum>(12)</enum><text>address the
			 serious housing problems facing many American families.</text>
