		<official-title>To enable States to opt out of certain provisions of the
		  Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.</official-title>

		<section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short
			 title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as
			 the <quote><short-title>State Health Care Choice
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="id9E62A68980D145F8BDD42FED97BBD3CC"><enum>2.</enum><header>Purpose</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">It is the purpose of this Act to protect
			 States' rights and to ensure that States have the option to continue to
			 implement State laws relating to health care delivery and health insurance that
			 were in effect prior to the date of enactment of the Patient Protection and
			 Affordable Care Act (Public Law 111–148).</text>
		</section><section id="idE4B6B1BB2E694187A8B59F20756EA1C2"><enum>3.</enum><header>Protection of
			 State flexibility to provide health coverage</header>
			<subsection id="id1DEFD5AC2012401AB60F837B0E231B9C"><enum>(a)</enum><header>State opt out
			 of certain provisions of PPACA</header>
				<paragraph id="idFB8984DE4A37480EA1C7758B27B36D7E"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>A State described in subsection (b) may elect to limit
			 the application of any or all of the provisions of the Patient Protection and
			 Affordable Care Act (Public Law 111–148) described in paragraph (2) with
			 respect to health insurance coverage within that State.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="IDe512fbc0113c43708bd4f696f668230d"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Provisions
			 described</header><text>The provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable
			 Care Act described in this paragraph are as follows:</text>
					<subparagraph id="ID8e47917a49c24903a2af4606b987c901"><enum>(A)</enum><text>Subtitles A
			 through C of title I (and the amendments made by such subtitles), except for
			 sections 1253 and 1254.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="id4971F1EEB62A46D2A7493D961CED09E9"><enum>(B)</enum><text>Parts I, II, III,
			 and V of subtitle D of title I (and the amendments made by such parts).</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID7636bb53b987470f96898fe88e883710"><enum>(C)</enum><text>Part I of
			 subtitle E of title I (and the amendments made by such part).</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="id8B173FCB5865414E8B52C93923A5B605"><enum>(D)</enum><text>Subtitle F of
			 title I (and the amendments made by such part).</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="id27853BD8DE354EED9D9ED1790019A2AC"><enum>(E)</enum><text>Section 1561 (and
			 the amendment made by such section).</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="id0034BE750B974B4783362C217C94AD91"><enum>(F)</enum><text>Sections 2001
			 through 2006 and subtitle C of title II (and the amendments made by such
			 sections and subtitle).</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id547C247FE3924BA38B7C229FF000E1D9"><enum>(G)</enum><text>Sections 10101
			 through 10107 (and the amendments made by such sections).</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="IDaff9bd3d935b4866b1c3cb7efac63385"><enum>(b)</enum><header>State
			 described</header>
				<paragraph id="id553C026EC46E479A91D0AD9B34D0606B"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Enactment of
			 State law</header><text>A State described in this subsection is a State that
			 enacts a law after the date of enactment of this Act that—</text>
					<subparagraph id="id7920C3B5E2FB4DB2A528E6ADC08E0E52"><enum>(A)</enum><text>expresses the
			 intent of the State to opt out of one or more of the provisions of the Patient
			 Protection and Affordable Care Act (Public Law 111–148) described in subsection
			 (a);</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="idF76ACB9AF2F24C7EB30A53D3EAFD7514"><enum>(B)</enum><text>contains a list
			 of the provisions of such Act which will not apply to the State under the State
			 law; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="idA66E659718194D40A2D8B7144E6239D0"><enum>(C)</enum><text>expresses the
			 intent of the State to continue to administer health coverage-related laws as
			 in effect in the State on March 23, 2010, or that provides for the
			 implementation of related State laws enacted after such date.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="id8D99D41CADC84FAE85EDEB52C7E5833E"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Repeal</header><text>If
			 a State repeals a law described in paragraph (1), the provisions of the Patient
			 Protection and Affordable Care Act listed in such law shall apply with respect
			 to such State beginning on the date of such repeal.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idAD82BB11326E4BB8AA303C8D2D23B31F"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Regulations</header><text>The
			 Secretary, in consultation with the Secretary of the Treasury, shall promulgate
			 regulations to provide for the implementation of this Act.</text>
