		<section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>21st Century Language Act of
			 2012</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id9C3A32C8986B41609EE865D5BCE91CC4" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Modernization of language referring to
			 persons who are mentally ill</header>
			<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id3995528A4D7A473FA8D3C1CDB90FFEB2"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Words denoting number, gender, and so
			 forth</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1 of title 1,
			 United States Code, is amended—</text>
				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idEEA133EFAE5F47C4864D6AC675680418"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>and
			 <quote>lunatic</quote></quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id230A67DB4E5E4B63A7E68630DFBA51B0"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>lunatic,</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idB64147F2ED704C0388EE52B1019F8DFE"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Banking law provisions</header>
				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id77BABD3A53FD4C78B4216D43D0BCC8B0"><enum>(1)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Trust powers</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The first section of the Act entitled
			 <quote>An Act to place authority over the trust powers of national banks in the
			 Comptroller of the Currency</quote>, approved September 28, 1962 (12 U.S.C.
			 92a), is amended—</text>
					<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idE45384E8C4524BD8BB4599D0AB51AB78"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (a), by striking
			 <quote>committee of estates of lunatics,</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idA65B5933DED74CDC8A1C592909F4C013"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (j), by striking
			 <quote>committee of estates of lunatics</quote>.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id0E3CB778661B4CF9B8CD3E6B3038737B"><enum>(2)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Consolidation and mergers of
			 banks</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The National Bank
			 Consolidation and Merger Act (12 U.S.C. 215 et seq.) is amended—</text>
					<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idC3A0969394AD4D0CB5A923F5587FC94F"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in section 2 (12 U.S.C. 215)—</text>
						<clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id6959DD566A784F30A12ED83B9042977F"><enum>(i)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (e), by striking
			 <quote>receiver, and committee of estates of lunatics</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>and receiver</quote>; and</text>
						</clause><clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idC97C9AD5E6F54EA19E9D904FF093E9C8"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (f), by striking
			 <quote>receiver, or committee of estates of lunatics</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>or receiver</quote>; and</text>
						</clause></subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id9D911AE2C81042D086C4D04E90E96B84"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in section 3 (12 U.S.C. 215a)—</text>
						<clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id9E8627EA93D346219CDF17289B9C8759"><enum>(i)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (e), by striking
			 <quote>receiver, and committee of estates of lunatics</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>and receiver</quote>; and</text>
						</clause><clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id64B0E5B11FD24837BCAC795DB53A6F47"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (f), by striking
			 <quote>receiver, or committee of estates of lunatics</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>or receiver</quote>.</text>
