		<section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short
			 title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as
			 the <quote><short-title>American Oil for American Families
			 Act of 2012</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="ID2edab99279b045f89c20d8db6d87b34f"><enum>2.</enum><header>Ban on exporting
			 crude oil produced on Federal land</header>
			<subsection id="idC78CBD9577E84437AD40E282E7B4B0FA"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>In
			 this section:</text>
				<paragraph id="id38FC4E0B092A46F990B734AAF9163D9A"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Petroleum
			 product</header><text>The term <term>petroleum product</term> means any of the
			 following:</text>
					<subparagraph id="IDe9ab51edf9a1498cb087d7aebfdfc2cf"><enum>(A)</enum><text>Finished
			 reformulated or conventional motor gasoline.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID1de13262fe9d42cb8266ad4d28cbef41"><enum>(B)</enum><text>Finished aviation
			 gasoline.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="IDf721861b66874bb2ae249e602b40422f"><enum>(C)</enum><text>Kerosene-type jet
			 fuel.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="IDf73a87f75b1545cc8c61ae6af73abdf7"><enum>(D)</enum><text>Kerosene.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="IDb22a4bd814044b79a40f081eb73e1fb6"><enum>(E)</enum><text>Distillate fuel
			 oil.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID5593a382600445d8963ef83dc35f12c8"><enum>(F)</enum><text>Residual fuel
			 oil.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID598cee0f41f54705b41810555ea2da6c"><enum>(G)</enum><text>Lubricants.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID4aee8ff0fb1944028c85e92d0a1ce239"><enum>(H)</enum><text>Waxes.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="IDf58f3bd6921148a79576cfd0e7f3bfae"><enum>(I)</enum><text>Petroleum
			 coke.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID82959e94eb8d41a09c3f5dd3cd8b6561"><enum>(J)</enum><text>Asphalt and road
			 oil.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id0ACACF5C10D54C1680771A3B38DF4CCA"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Public
			 land</header><text>The term <term>public land</term> means any land and
			 interest in land owned by the United States within the several States and
			 administered by the Secretary concerned, without regard to how the United
			 States acquired ownership.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="id28E09BE51B264EEEB1AF747181D642C3"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Secretary
			 concerned</header><text>The term <term>Secretary concerned</term> means—</text>
					<subparagraph id="idA230DA7D1AE64ED5A8965B11429FD3C2"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the Secretary of
			 Agriculture (acting through the Chief of the Forest Service), with respect to
			 National Forest System land; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id7F5D46B4D2C44FA1BE152FE16CD9D388"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the Secretary of
			 the Interior, with respect to land managed by the Bureau of Land Management
			 (including land held for the benefit of an Indian tribe).</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id4B3CAB87FE624B9F9BD510BFEB03C44B"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Ban</header><text>Notwithstanding
			 any other provision of law, petroleum extracted from public land in the United
			 States (including land located on the outer Continental Shelf), or a petroleum
			 product produced from the petroleum, may not be exported from the United
			 States.</text>
