		<official-title>To clarify the meaning of <quote>produced</quote> for
		  purposes of limitations on the procurement by the Department of Defense of
		  specialty metals within the United States.</official-title>

		<section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short
			 title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as
			 the <quote><short-title>United States Steel and Security
			 Act of 2012</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="id13D9E237D8584C6F9B80C88277A9A259" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Additional definition
			 relating to production of specialty metals within the United
			 States</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 2533b(m) of
			 title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new
			 paragraph:</text>

				<paragraph id="id701C6D53EB5B426093F3D04880CD4712"><enum>(11)</enum><text>The term
				<term>produced</term>, as used in subsections (a) and (b), means melted, or
				processed in a manner that results in physical or chemical property changes
				that are the equivalent of melting. The term does not include finishing
				processes such as rolling, heat treatment, quenching, tempering, grinding, or
				shaving.</text>
