		<official-title>To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to allow
		  physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and clinical nurse specialists to
		  supervise cardiac, intensive cardiac, and pulmonary rehabilitation

		<section id="idA0DBB05DD7F541589847CB2F054F6AB7" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Allowing physician
			 assistants, nurse practitioners, and clinical nurse specialists to supervise
			 cardiac, intensive cardiac, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs</header>
			<subsection id="id962697947BF64F14A0553FB57A99113E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Cardiac and
			 intensive cardiac rehabilitation programs</header><text>Section 1861(eee) of
			 the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395x(eee)) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="id52EBF01AA1334DAEBD0B0B6E8B440DD8"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph
			 (1)—</text>
					<subparagraph id="id5920D4D23064424C9DAAA4A35B1BBE20"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>physician-supervised</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="id727B2E7E45F343BAB9307C5DEF71926C"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by inserting
			 <quote>under the supervision of a physician (as defined in subsection (r)(1))
			 or a physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or clinical nurse specialist (as
			 those terms are defined in subsection (aa)(5))</quote> before the period at the
			 end;</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="id26A7A6423AD14907950A8EC7FA1DA439"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph
			 (2)(B), by striking <quote>a physician</quote> and inserting <quote>a physician
			 (as defined in subsection (r)(1)) or a physician assistant, nurse practitioner,
			 or clinical nurse specialist (as those terms are defined in subsection
			 (aa)(5))</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="idB822AC497B4143718396D41FB0C9D758"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in paragraph
			 (4)(A), in the matter preceding clause (i)—</text>
					<subparagraph id="idA37619B0919D4147B97C71CC2C208CB8"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>physician-supervised</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="id9A93BBC957B640B4B36729CFC260AA07"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by inserting
			 <quote>under the supervision of a physician (as defined in subsection (r)(1))
			 or a physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or clinical nurse specialist (as
			 those terms are defined in subsection (aa)(5))</quote> after <quote>paragraph
			 (3)</quote>.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id5592D4F7645D49EDB9DD7F82CD13664B"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Pulmonary
			 rehabilitation programs</header><text>Section 1861(fff)(1) of the Social
			 Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395x(fff)(1)) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="idC9BC422EE7D0405B844A658E470EB1D9"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>physician-supervised</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="idD5BC13F85D154B78B75B5CE48CF112B6"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by inserting
			 <quote>under the supervision of a physician (as defined in subsection (r)(1))
			 or a physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or clinical nurse specialist (as
			 those terms are defined in subsection (aa)(5))</quote> before the period at the
			 end.</text>
