		<section id="HB939CCC3D014483AA1634B270F25B821" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Land withdrawal and
			 reservation for Cragin Project</header>
			<subsection id="HDA1D51CF46794FF9ADA72885874B0E45"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>In
			 this section:</text>
				<paragraph id="H55C6FAA1A09246108C56515AF9933390"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Covered
			 land</header><text>The term <term>covered land</term> means the parcel of land
			 consisting of approximately 512 acres, as generally depicted on the Map, that
			 consists of—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H163D44A35F404E37B5A7BF9B1CC59E17"><enum>(A)</enum><text>approximately 300
			 feet of the crest of the Cragin Dam and associated spillway;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HF8C1DDC3A8C74AC59CBB0946D116F4E5"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the reservoir pool
			 of the Cragin Dam that consists of approximately 250 acres defined by the high
			 water mark; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H2E1BD52243504178A67AC561ECFCECA7"><enum>(C)</enum><text>the linear
			 corridor.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H807E8EFEC8854FA4A9C9DDAA873D8661"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Cragin
			 project</header><text>The term <term>Cragin Project</term> means—</text>
					<subparagraph id="HF5913526110F41F68F425D5157A375D6"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the Cragin Dam and
			 associated spillway;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H5B97D5304388444CAE34FE7F1A25C85C"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the reservoir pool
			 of the Cragin Dam; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H16B1D278084F443CBB13F661C243208E"><enum>(C)</enum><text>any pipelines,
			 linear improvements, buildings, hydroelectric generating facilities, priming
			 tanks, transmission, telephone, and fiber optic lines, pumps, machinery, tools,
			 appliances, and other District or Bureau of Reclamation structures and
			 facilities used for the Cragin Project.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HADFD0A980B2A4B9A9F112155F39697EB"><enum>(3)</enum><header>District</header><text>The
			 term <term>District</term> means the Salt River Project Agricultural
			 Improvement and Power District.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H9995121D87A2470587049D50860E3FDB"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Land management
			 activity</header><text>The term <quote>land management activity</quote>
			 includes, with respect to the covered land, the management of—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H20441C850EB3427A9C05A7628EE16340"><enum>(A)</enum><text>recreation;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H5CB77FBFB6414B6C92DF73E16C6F87B9"><enum>(B)</enum><text>grazing;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H17A208C3ADEC41299D873BE3752521C1"><enum>(C)</enum><text>wildland
			 fire;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H129B950C029047529D575A7E3691CC11"><enum>(D)</enum><text>public
			 conduct;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H2ACE07FC7A8440E7BB87E2948A328B76"><enum>(E)</enum><text>commercial
			 activities that are not part of the Cragin Project;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H3FBC7C9137FD45C59C4B7034F7829844"><enum>(F)</enum><text>cultural
			 resources;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H2328ED484C2A469C8A6B173A2C9607D9"><enum>(G)</enum><text>invasive
			 species;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HECD256615F7B4E9AB5487616D1DEEB2A"><enum>(H)</enum><text>timber and
			 hazardous fuels;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H6C216B88D701433991F0049990F46FEC"><enum>(I)</enum><text>travel;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H3DE3364E75604723BC24D13B2C452E68"><enum>(J)</enum><text>law enforcement;
			 and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H020159358DAA48F48356ACC5F50FAD03"><enum>(K)</enum><text>roads and
			 trails.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HB3C359B79F6A43B1A62372FE0A4B958B"><enum>(5)</enum><header>Linear
			 corridor</header><text>The term <term>linear corridor</term> means a corridor
			 of land comprising approximately 262 acres—</text>
					<subparagraph id="HCA7C658F22454ED2A446EA8C35DB0AF0"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the width of which
			 is approximately 200 feet;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H20932CC048834DA3BD0542E9FF7FB411"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the length of
			 which is approximately 11.5 miles;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HF09AE62CD3F04C0C9FB18CAE1E449A1A"><enum>(C)</enum><text>of which
			 approximately 0.7 miles consists of an underground tunnel; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HC4A5B1498DFE4EA483545589F7D242F7"><enum>(D)</enum><text>that is generally
			 depicted on the Map.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H3F9E6A2521B0426FB7ADBB184858A192"><enum>(6)</enum><header>Map</header><text>The
			 term <term>Map</term> means sheets 1 and 2 of the maps entitled <quote>C.C.
			 Cragin Project Withdrawal </quote> and dated June 17, 2008.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H94A02EB9BB2B4501B4E0A1D0A1DF0869"><enum>(7)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text>The
			 term <term>Secretary</term> means the Secretary of Agriculture, acting through
			 the Chief of the Forest Service.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H4680C8A2462E419DA3945381FDC62CDA"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Withdrawal of
			 covered land</header><text>Subject to valid existing rights, the covered land
			 is permanently withdrawn from all forms of—</text>
				<paragraph id="HE7208BBE6AD643B291AA64E377C42CBD"><enum>(1)</enum><text>entry,
			 appropriation, or disposal under the public land laws;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H2E0D0E3410E949A1B63D122B82D463DA"><enum>(2)</enum><text>location, entry,
			 and patent under the mining laws; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H3DDC9D6D3E654358B96B01FF09107603"><enum>(3)</enum><text>disposition under
			 all laws pertaining to mineral and geothermal leasing or mineral
			 materials.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HAFEA21F43E4C4FE397502A7AA9B2A1CE"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Map</header>
				<paragraph id="H385444D518E34E48BC8F2A21CB3E2893"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>As soon as practicable after the date of enactment of
			 this Act, the Secretary of the Interior, in coordination with the Secretary,
			 shall prepare a map and legal description of the covered land.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HBBE62CE16A824FE2AA81D907EBB745A3"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Force and
			 effect</header><text>The map and legal description prepared under paragraph (1)
			 shall have the same force and effect as if included in this Act, except that
			 the Secretary of the Interior may correct clerical and typographical
			 errors.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HE9B57F8C1F084BA8976381D15977F500"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Availability</header><text>The
			 map and legal description prepared under paragraph (1) shall be on file and
			 available for public inspection in the appropriate offices of the Forest
			 Service and Bureau of Reclamation.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H7AAE997C23D7473C82C322CB9E162A46"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Jurisdiction and
			 duties</header>
				<paragraph id="HD3A81D83896A4CFDA6AC1E9928EC5EEA"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Jurisdiction of
			 the Secretary of the Interior</header>
					<subparagraph id="HBE78D88E58414973AD6188082B9E240B"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>Except as provided in subsection (e), the Secretary of
			 the Interior, acting through the Commissioner of Reclamation, shall have
			 exclusive administrative jurisdiction to manage the Cragin Project in
			 accordance with this Act and section 213(i) of the Arizona Water Settlements
			 Act (Public Law 108–451; 118 Stat. 3533) on the covered land.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H13269E03C34742BDA1577AD9CB4E1F10"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Inclusion</header><text>Notwithstanding
			 subsection (e), the jurisdiction under subparagraph (A) shall include access to
			 the Cragin Project by the District.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H8AC32853476C49C990621194CF921FB7"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Responsibility
			 of Secretary of the Interior and district</header><text>In accordance with
			 paragraphs (4)(B) and (5) of section 213(i) of the Arizona Water Settlements
			 Act (Public Law 108–451; 118 Stat. 3533), the Secretary of the Interior and the
			 District shall—</text>
					<subparagraph id="HA397D124B2264F148E3508F150756E74"><enum>(A)</enum><text>ensure the
			 compliance of each activity carried out at the Cragin Project with each
			 applicable Federal environmental law (including regulations); and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H0429A82A9EB242DEB3C5011A14B8299B"><enum>(B)</enum><text>coordinate with
			 appropriate Federal agencies in ensuring the compliance under subparagraph
			 (A).</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H38C75700C5F945428DB53715AD7B4AAF"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Land management
			 activities on covered land</header>
				<paragraph id="HAF84F1227AA44C838BE197BAC9ABAD98"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>The Secretary shall have administrative jurisdiction over
			 land management activities on the covered land and other appropriate management
			 activities pursuant to an agreement under paragraph (2) that do not conflict
			 with, or adversely affect, the operation, maintenance, or replacement
			 (including repair) of the Cragin Project, as determined by the Secretary of the
			 Interior.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H63BADD03344449659F2A84A64B13CF4B"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Interagency
			 agreement</header><text>The Secretary and the Secretary of the Interior, in
			 coordination with the District, may enter into an agreement under which the
			 Secretary may—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H8C13594EFC7646F0871018EE65FFD5F8"><enum>(A)</enum><text>undertake any
			 other appropriate management activity in accordance with applicable law that
			 will improve the management and safety of the covered land and other land
			 managed by the Secretary if the activity does not conflict with, or adversely
			 affect, the operation, maintenance, or replacement (including repair) of the
			 Cragin Project, as determined by the Secretary of the Interior; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H7C5F11CF7DA140B8812E7741EE83B441"><enum>(B)</enum><text>carry out any
			 emergency activities, such as fire suppression, on the covered land.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body>
