			 sunsets</header>
			<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idE8A6ADD309B241B1908496E8A08FA559"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Limitation on roving wiretaps</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 105(c) of the Foreign Intelligence
			 Surveillance Act of 1978 (50 U.S.C. 1805(c)) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDd06e5ad4d41d4cb08ff8bc7a04953fd3"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (1), by striking subparagraphs
			 (A) and (B) and inserting the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id68719C0F7552464DAEE27FB485D33062" style="OLC">
						<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID5bca04276727441a89ca9ff6880efbb6" indent="up1"><enum>(A)</enum><clause commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="id756AE5B316A141FA9FA6D12AC0EB4432"><enum>(i)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the identity of the target of the
				electronic surveillance, if known; or</text>
							</clause><clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID14b7f4b946dd4b50966453f9dc3498b6" indent="up1"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">if the identity of the target is not known,
				a description of the specific target and the nature and location of the
				facilities and places at which the electronic surveillance will be
				directed;</text>
							</clause></subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDc549e1a207514c9a87e129d5c172d170" indent="up1"><enum>(B)</enum><clause commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="idED8C61C0CDFB47B680917532D3BDBB16"><enum>(i)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the nature and location of each of the
				facilities or places at which the electronic surveillance will be directed, if
				known; or</text>
							</clause><clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID03ea9294e86f4d9183ebb79356120645" indent="up1"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">if any of the facilities or places are not
				known, the identity of the target;</text>
							</clause></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID386698df67df41e5bd2173d9c42e80fb"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (2)—</text>
					<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idAEC4AA384CD74643BC27590CBE1180A3"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by redesignating subparagraphs (B) through
			 (D) as subparagraphs (C) through (E), respectively; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id825EEDDE17E74D90BE40A8C49CFF3CE2"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by inserting after subparagraph (A) the
			 following:</text>
						<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id319C0351D2964610A89873F20CABA093" style="OLC">
							<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDe3353ffb423a4072b5046472c631a3f1"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in cases where the facility or place at
				which the electronic surveillance will be directed is not known at the time the
				order is issued, that the electronic surveillance be conducted only for such
				time as it is reasonable to presume that the target of the surveillance is or
				was reasonably proximate to the particular facility or
				place;</text>
							</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idD3850E3B2116498AADE6BF53387D799A"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Sunsets on
			 roving wiretap authority</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 102(b)(1) of the USA PATRIOT
			 Improvement and Reauthorization Act of 2005 (Public Law 109–177; 50 U.S.C. 1805
			 note, 50 U.S.C. 1861 note, and 50 U.S.C. 1862 note) is amended to read as
			 follows:</text>

				general</header>
						<subparagraph commented="no" id="idB86A7B5157E24611965F7F7E9D373840"><enum>(A)</enum><header>Section
				206</header><text>Effective December 31, 2013, the Foreign Intelligence
				Surveillance Act of 1978 is amended so that section 105(c)(2) (50 U.S.C.
				1805(c)(2)) read as such section read on October 25, 2001.</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="id24D773A8579F4DC3A295D50B65532948"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Section
				215</header><text>Effective May 27, 2011, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance
				Act of 1978 is amended so that sections 501 and 502 (50 U.S.C. 1861 and 1862)
				read as such sections read on October 25,
				2001.</text>
