<official-title display="yes">Honoring the 114th anniversary of the independence of the Philippines.</official-title>

<section display-inline="yes-display-inline" section-type="undesignated-section" id="H6A277F2F3E84471196CE46D02090AFB5"><text>That the House of Representatives—</text>
<paragraph id="H9ABA20C377C4479FAFD0CF2DCA3E1F23"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">recognizes the historic significance of the 114th anniversary of the sovereign and independent country of the Philippines on June 12, 1898; </text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="HA9298F57A7354469AC49C72EBDBEA30D"><enum>(2)</enum><text>reaffirms the bonds of friendship and cooperation which have existed between the United States and the Philippines and commits to strengthening those bonds; </text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H00ED18D018AB491D90747A147F964703"><enum>(3)</enum><text>commends the people of the Philippines for enduring through struggle and hardship; </text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="HE6A445DA6B5947499DF1B27B69E1D514"><enum>(4)</enum><text>reaffirms its support for the Philippines to defend its internal security from terrorism;</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H73F718E635414D89B5C12B88B03FDD5F"><enum>(5)</enum><text>reaffirms its enduring support for the Philippines; </text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H2618CFCBDF504F89A1A454028D162081"><enum>(6)</enum><text>supports increased public awareness of the events surrounding the Philippine Declaration of Independence, and the vibrant and beautiful culture of the Philippines;</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="HB90A43F90F484ACB9B9C591CF546D69C"><enum>(7)</enum><text>recognizes the courage and bravery of the Filipino and Filipino American servicemen and servicewomen who have fought alongside and in the United States Armed Forces; and </text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="HF0965CB8590049DBA2C3BFAE0A8DC758"><enum>(8)</enum><text>supports the continuing development of the Filipino American community as a integral part of America’s cultural fabric.</text></paragraph></section>
