		<official-title>To amend the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977
		  to require greater experience of mine safety inspectors under that
		  Act.</official-title>

		<section id="HE695E4865CA24C009B7878B21FC4166B" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Qualifications of Federal
			 mine safety inspectors</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section
			 505 of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977 (30 U.S.C. 954) is
			 amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="HCE1BCB58F75D4E32B38E58F365CA7C98"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>to the maximum extent
			 feasible,</quote>;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H1B789B7743F64E68A7DD46D942262E2B"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>five years practical mine experience</quote> and inserting <quote>10
			 years practical mine experience</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H394DD03F198A425783EF13B4DF20A84E"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>due consideration shall be given to the extent possible to their</quote>
			 and inserting <quote>and at least 2 years</quote>.</text>
