		<official-title>To require that all Federal agencies, contractors, and
		  government-sponsored enterprises use the words <quote>mother</quote> and
		  <quote>father</quote> when describing parents in all official documents and
		  forms.</official-title>

		<section id="H979480014CE4415897555A8B3694E5AE" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Parental Title Protection Act of
			 2011</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HE01EC09D7E944EC88D2363DF20F20A80"><enum>2.</enum><header>Description
			 requirement</header>
			<subsection id="H63A750AA704040CABB7DB2CD6C041352"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Requirement</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Each Federal agency, contractor (or
			 subcontractor at any tier) pursuant to a contract with such agency, or
			 government-sponsored enterprise shall use the words <quote>mother</quote> and
			 <quote>father</quote> when describing parents, and not the words <quote>parent
			 1</quote> or <quote>parent 2</quote> (or other similar words), in all official
			 documents issued by the agency, contractor, or enterprise.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H9C85BBC09026417D832D2FF7B6E92C3F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this section:</text>
				<paragraph id="H3406E075E0E746C9AD7E0CAE8E9A1AA9"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Federal
			 agency</header><text>The term <term>Federal agency</term> has the meaning given
			 the term <term>Executive agency</term> by section 105 of title 5, United States
			 Code.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H4033B81DB10E49F38027CFDB6637CB1D"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Official
			 document</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term
			 <term>official document</term> means any document issued by a Federal agency,
			 contractor (or subcontractor at any tier) pursuant to a contract with such
			 agency, or government-sponsored enterprise, including any form that is
			 completed by an applicant.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HD330BAC69F944A09896A035642D35CD0"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Applicability</header>
				<paragraph id="H6E554FFC19074428B2077BC0A0FDF633"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Federal
			 Government</header><text>The requirements of this section shall apply to all
			 official documents issued by a Federal agency or government-sponsored
			 enterprise before, on, or after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H4AC77E5F9EFE425DABF83C54BC8CCBB4"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Government
			 contractors</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The requirements
			 of this section shall be implemented with respect to contracts entered into on
			 or after the date occurring 6 months after the date of the enactment of this
			 Act.</text>
