		<official-title>To reauthorize the United States Fire Administration, and
		  for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="H402CD461D1AD4BD085E4405DD50AE195" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>United States Fire Administration
			 Reauthorization Act of 2012</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H631D29121CBC4FBB952F746B36F59A5E"><enum>2.</enum><header>Clarification of
			 relationship between United States Fire Administration and Federal Emergency
			 Management Agency</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 5(c)
			 of the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 (15 U.S.C. 2204) is
			 amended to read as follows:</text>
			<quoted-block id="HBCD48E0E2B184FAC8459896E9BFE19C7" style="OLC">
				<subsection id="HF1629B4667084E41A562D1D7E003912B"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Deputy
				administrator</header><text>The Administrator may appoint a Deputy
				Administrator, who shall—</text>
					<paragraph id="H113CEBDF24324F149A7B1028E1740768"><enum>(1)</enum><text>perform such
				functions as the Administrator shall from time to time assign or delegate;
				and</text>
					</paragraph><paragraph id="HDF36758D44E245C693FDF860F38309C7"><enum>(2)</enum><text>act as
				Administrator during the absence or disability of the Administrator or in the
				event of a vacancy in the office of
				Administrator.</text>
					</paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
		</section><section id="H9766CA3BCE9F4B60BEAA676E2CF89B40"><enum>3.</enum><header>Modification of
			 authority of Administrator to educate public about fire and fire
			 prevention</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 6 of the
			 Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 (15 U.S.C. 2205) is amended by
			 striking <quote>to take all steps</quote> and all that follows through
			 <quote>fire and fire prevention.</quote> and inserting <quote>to take such
			 steps as the Administrator considers appropriate to educate the public and
			 overcome public indifference as to fire, fire prevention, and individual
			 preparedness.</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HDC9303ECC70249728350285ACED3ED70"><enum>4.</enum><header>Authorization of
			 appropriations</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section
			 17(g)(1) of the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 (15 U.S.C.
			 2216(g)(1)) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H5909DCE3CCB543A3A548900BD8D6D621"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subparagraph
			 (G), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H97A9E35682D44EE592D8634C33749443"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subparagraph
			 (H), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HB8E049C99EE2474FAFBFCC33E3FE4697"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding after
			 subparagraph (H) the following:</text>
				<quoted-block id="H815C4D4CDE98457EBF4AEF26C7FDA41A" style="OLC">
					<subparagraph id="H21EF1933FF97493E81F3908656EF9BB1" indent="up1"><enum>(I)</enum><text>$76,490,890 for fiscal year 2013, of
				which $2,753,672 shall be used to carry out section 8(f);</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HFC1D84B3EA9A444F9897315AF3AF0E27" indent="up1"><enum>(J)</enum><text>$76,490,890 for fiscal year 2014, of
				which $2,753,672 shall be used to carry out section 8(f);</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H8143F15DEB414CA8AD457CD7525DD47D" indent="up1"><enum>(K)</enum><text>$76,490,890 for fiscal year 2015, of
				which $2,753,672 shall be used to carry out section 8(f);</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H98E4594EA4844EC68F374A9D106E1F9B" indent="up1"><enum>(L)</enum><text>$76,490,890 for fiscal year 2016, of
				which $2,753,672 shall be used to carry out section 8(f); and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H2AED1535CE9F4DBCBA6BD2748F66ACE7" indent="up1"><enum>(M)</enum><text>$76,490,890 for fiscal year 2017, of
				which $2,753,672 shall be used to carry out section
				8(f).</text>
					</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HB63BFF80B1474EA893A55F241A4D4DBB"><enum>(4)</enum><text>in subparagraphs
			 (E) through (H), by moving each margin 2 ems to the left.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="HF49048A21646435AB3C84E3BFA0AE1C5"><enum>5.</enum><header>Removal of
			 limitation</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 9(d) of the
			 Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 (15 U.S.C. 2208(d)) is
			 amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H25DB8C0E922B47E4AED27D1F6C581586"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote><header-in-text level="subsection" style="OLC">Update.—</header-in-text></quote> and all that follows through
			 <quote>The Administrator</quote> and inserting <quote><header-in-text level="subsection" style="OLC">Update.—</header-in-text>The
			 Administrator</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HD6D9B59B571F4321B3620F1E3B27CCC4"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking
			 paragraph (2).</text>
