		<official-title>To authorize the United States Capitol Police to
		  reimburse local law enforcement agencies for protective services provided at
		  official public Congressional events, and for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="HD1479217BE564EF29599651819FAF612" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Reimbursement of local law
			 enforcement agencies for protective services provided at official congressional
			 events</header>
			<subsection id="H348FEF50F63F47759A74E4E5459C578E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Authorizing
			 Reimbursement by Capitol Police</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If a local law enforcement agency provides
			 protective services at an official public Congressional event pursuant to a
			 written agreement entered into prior to the date of the event between the
			 agency and the office of the Member who is the sponsor of the event, the Chief
			 of the United States Capitol Police shall reimburse the agency for the
			 reasonable costs incurred by the agency in providing such services.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HC584621877D94FE6B85B42E9FA5E68E3"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Regulations</header><text>The
			 Capitol Police Board, in consultation with the Committee on House
			 Administration of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Rules and
			 Administration of the Senate, shall promulgate such regulations as may be
			 necessary to carry out this Act, including—</text>
				<paragraph id="H045156BACA28460384F6BD259689D0D1"><enum>(1)</enum><text>regulations
			 setting forth the administrative requirements for a written agreement under
			 subsection (a);</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H74B85793F0144056BBBE5013ED99BCF5"><enum>(2)</enum><text>regulations
			 setting forth the criteria for determining whether an event is an official
			 public Congressional event; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HF869B7F0FF8F4FF9B1A1957F5E181824"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">regulations setting forth the criteria for
			 determining the reasonable costs incurred by a local law enforcement agency in
			 providing protective services.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HE02F1D3B28694338AB1016434DC875D1"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Annual cap on
			 aggregate amount reimbursed</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The aggregate amount reimbursed by the
			 Capitol Police with respect to a fiscal year pursuant to agreements under this
			 section may not exceed $10,000,000.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="HE447FFB3594E4F9FB077144596E6FBC3"><enum>2.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act, the following definitions
			 apply:</text>
			<paragraph id="H6A4D2FD014494DFE95FF935C3E94B436"><enum>(1)</enum><text>The term
			 <term>Member of Congress</term> means a Senator or a Representative in, or
			 Delegate or Resident Commissioner to, the Congress.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H0776DAFA312148148B47684F26B8E4B9"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The term
			 <term>official public Congressional event</term> means an event sponsored by a
			 Member of Congress that is treated as part of the Member’s official and
			 representational duties and to which members of the public are invited.</text>
