<official-title>To amend the Small Business Act to improve the Small Business Technology Transfer Program, and for other purposes.</official-title>

<section id="HEAD597F4BD5643E4B39564FBBB2F180E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>STTR Enhancement Act of 2011</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="HB51C2B68B2584758812DDE6D9177488F" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>2.</enum><header>Required expenditure amounts for STTR</header> 
<subsection id="H6123BBF601AD4D56BD3CFDCB5B543B67"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 9(n)(1)(B)(ii) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 638(n)(1)(B)(ii)) is amended by striking <quote>0.3 percent for fiscal year 2004 and</quote> and inserting <quote>0.6 percent for</quote>.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HA309875B3AEA4FF5AC0E04BA2AD5ABC0"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Application</header><text>The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply to the first full fiscal year beginning after the date of enactment of this Act and to each fiscal year thereafter.</text></subsection></section> 
<section id="H37A724F8A2704C8A8B2EBAB11EA61CAE"><enum>3.</enum><header>STTR policy directive contents</header> 
<subsection id="H80E4E396B1564DE79DDC90D9CD823470"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 9(p)(2)(B)(ix) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 638(p)(2)(B)(ix)) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="HAA9C06FCA288401E93D1B692D0D19232"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking <quote>$100,000</quote> and <quote>$750,000</quote> and inserting <quote>$200,000</quote> and <quote>$1,500,000</quote>, respectively; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H62FD6529D84A447AA8F87A28845D0858"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking <quote>greater or lesser amounts</quote> and inserting <quote>with an adjustment of such amounts once every 5 years to reflect economic adjustments and programmatic considerations, and with greater or lesser amounts</quote>.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H9256F7B1D5C442399B7799976BF809EC"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Timing</header><text>Not later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Administrator of the Small Business Administration shall modify the policy directive issued pursuant to section 9(p) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 638(p)) to reflect the amendments made by subsection (a) of this section.</text></subsection></section>
