<section id="HF7431959780D49E7A0110007C534E9B2" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Preserving Rural Resources Act of 2012</short-title></quote>.</text> </section>
<section id="HFC75AFA23A1448FA99E542EC4EBAA8B0"><enum>2.</enum><header>Permits for dredged or fill material</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 404(f) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 U.S.C. 1344(f)) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H6C9A19C016504FD9862C644758C8AC81"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1), by striking <quote>Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, the discharge</quote> and inserting <quote>The discharge</quote>; and</text> </paragraph>
<paragraph id="HD3EA1F5A24284041885095F033474DFB"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (2), by striking <quote>having as its purpose bringing an area of the navigable waters into a use to which it was not previously subject, where the flow or circulation of navigable waters may be impaired or the reach of such waters be reduced,</quote> and inserting <quote>having as its purpose bringing an area into a use not described in paragraph (1)</quote>.</text> </paragraph></section>
