		<official-title>To amend the Toxic Substances Control Act to prohibit the
		  use, production, sale, importation, or exportation of the poison sodium
		  fluoroacetate (known as <term>Compound 1080</term>) and to prohibit the use of
		  sodium cyanide for predator control.</official-title>

		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H6D22FE5CD80243A8A834D1648D8C40BC" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Compound 1080 and Sodium Cyanide
			 Elimination Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H21A560E6B1304CBD9B806CC0449B9D8A"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition on
			 use, production, sale, importation, or exportation of Compound
			 <enum-in-header>1080</enum-in-header></header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 6 of the Toxic Substances Control
			 Act (15 U.S.C. 2605) is amended by adding at the end the following new
			 subsection:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H79B9B6B46620488785BC38F26F1094A7" style="OLC">
				<subsection id="H64B7C279E31A4FB1BC8A743D2CEF3714"><enum>(g)</enum><header>Compound
				1080</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The use, production,
				sale, importation, or exportation of sodium fluoroacetate (known as
				<term>Compound 1080</term>) is prohibited. Any person who violates this
				subsection shall be fined under title 18, United States Code, or imprisoned not
				more than 2 years, or
				both.</text>
				</subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
		</section><section commented="no" id="HBF8A52CCA09B4D5897D31B964E20B067"><enum>3.</enum><header>Prohibition on
			 use of sodium cyanide for predator control<editorial></editorial></header>
			<subsection commented="no" id="H481BF63A2E4B471E991A5F0425283001"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Prohibited
			 act</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Sodium cyanide may not be
			 used in a predator control device.</text>
			</subsection><subsection commented="no" id="H627813E9F0A5438D91A3D97C8B92DDDD"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Penalty</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Whoever uses sodium cyanide in a predator
			 control device shall be fined under title 18, United States Code, or imprisoned
			 not more than 2 years, or both.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H61B405755F774D6B8D95CBF4A1151254"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Predator control
			 device</header><text>In this section, the term <term>predator control
			 device</term> means—</text>
				<paragraph id="H7CEF92AE91B14D04881D13E60AAEF67D"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">a dispenser designed to propel sodium
			 cyanide when activated by an animal; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HD7B54FE3E9EF42AFA46D801DE661D4C8"><enum>(2)</enum><text>any other means of
			 dispensing sodium cyanide, including in the form of sodium cyanide capsules,
			 for wildlife management or other animal control purposes.</text>
