		<official-title>To provide that there shall be no net increase in the
		  acres of certain Federal land under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Land
		  Management, the National Park Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, or
		  the Forest Service unless the Federal budget is balanced for the year in which
		  the land would be purchased.</official-title>

		<section id="H730884929C9048F9BCFCA1F720F6388B" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Land Acquisition to cut National Debt
			 Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>LAND
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H8307ECCAF8534D5E92972C90A06801B5"><enum>2.</enum><header>Department of the
			 interior land acquisition</header>
			<subsection id="H589194A1CBB14476B78E8330A5222517"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of the
			 Interior may not use Federal funds to purchase land that would result in a net
			 increase of land acreage that would be under the jurisdiction of the National
			 Park Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, or the Bureau of Land
			 Management unless the Federal budget is balanced for the year in which the land
			 would be purchased.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H83A366F6178B41C9B1D9C590156D88D9"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Duck stamp
			 funds</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (a) shall
			 not apply to land purchased with funds made available through the sale of
			 Federal Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamps.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="H034702974A164F40AE618A9E95CB441B"><enum>3.</enum><header>National forest
			 system land acquisition</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The
			 Secretary of Agriculture may not use Federal funds to purchase land that would
			 result in a net increase of land acreage included in the National Forest System
			 unless the Federal budget is balanced for the year in which the land would be
			 purchased.</text>
