		<official-title display="yes">To direct the head of each Federal
		  department and agency to treat relevant military training as sufficient to
		  satisfy training or certification requirements for Federal
		  licenses.</official-title>

		<section id="HA4FABB3193D34A8480E3C519B04C1E24" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Veteran Skills to Jobs
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H83A78E921F8440A18334DDA80CD9707B"><enum>2.</enum><header>Consideration of
			 relevant military training for issuance of a Federal license</header>
			<subsection id="HECF2D8A4F2AA42788EB72FB32106235C"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The head of each
			 Federal licensing authority shall consider and may accept, in the case of any
			 individual applying for a license, any relevant training received by such
			 individual while serving as a member of the armed forces, for the purpose of
			 satisfying the requirements for such license.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H0199F6A10CAC40999F1746BCBBAE809F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>For
			 purposes of this Act—</text>
				<paragraph id="H56A4D97576E043B39EDE43E0AFB05026"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the term
			 <quote>license</quote> means a license, certification, or other grant of
			 permission to engage in a particular activity;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HEAC847EA557545B8B75953FA82EB7825"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the term
			 <quote>Federal licensing authority</quote> means a department, agency, or other
			 entity of the Government having authority to issue a license;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H3356B4EBFE4341F18DB4E72E02AB4ABB"><enum>(3)</enum><text>the term
			 <quote>armed forces</quote> has the meaning given such term by
			 <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/5/2101">section
			 2101(2)</external-xref> of title 5, United States Code; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H3509302241DB4A839216D6F1EA7C8FBF"><enum>(4)</enum><text>the term
			 <quote>Government</quote> means the Government of the United States.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection></section><section id="H52110EEC4DFB40D9B0BBF353987F04A7"><enum>3.</enum><header>Regulations</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The head of each Federal licensing authority
			 shall—</text>
			<paragraph id="HCCDD73CBB5E84667A0137640809C4BB6"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">with respect to any license a licensing
			 authority grants or is empowered to grant as of the date of enactment of this
			 Act, prescribe any regulations necessary to carry out this Act not later than
			 180 days after such date; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HBA73740DBBF4444E948139A51CD1F0EF"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">with respect to any license of a licensing
			 authority not constituted or not empowered to grant the license as of the date
			 of enactment of this Act, prescribe any regulations necessary to carry out this
			 Act not later than 180 days after the date on which the agency is so
			 constituted or empowered, as the case may be.</text>
