			 Herger-Feinstein Quincy Library Group Forest Recovery Act</header>
			<subsection id="H6D80954C6BE44C33A0EF18D272D1CD5E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Extension</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (g) of the Herger-Feinstein
			 Quincy Library Group Forest Recovery Act (title IV of the Department of the
			 Interior and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 1999, as contained in section
			 101(e) of division A of Public Law 105–277; 16 U.S.C. 2104 note) is amended to
			 read as follows:</text>

					<subsection id="H256AA0F5B0EF43F993B8F7F35F64B991"><enum>(g)</enum><header>Term of pilot
				project</header>
						<paragraph id="H9C047EAFB1584E4B8E0A1DB62792C788"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary shall
				conduct the pilot project until the earlier of the following:</text>
							<subparagraph id="HC11CA70B5E6A4602B1BC15ABEC81B8B2"><enum>(A)</enum><text>September 30,
				2022.</text>
							</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H7C5DDD1C77B04444A4E1467FB82B2FE8"><enum>(B)</enum><text>The date on which the
				Secretary completes amendment or revision of the land and resource management
				plans for the National Forest System lands included in the pilot project
				area.</text>
							</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HF87A1C455A174570961A61550D48B60C"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Forest plan
				amendments</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">When the Regional
				Forester for Region 5 initiates the process to amend or revise the land and
				resource management plans for the pilot project area, the process shall include
				preparation of at least one alternative that incorporates the pilot project and
				area designations under subsection (b), the resource management activities
				described in subsection (d), and other aspects of the Quincy Library Group
				Community Stability
				Proposal.</text>
						</paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="HC73FB1073E9E44EA86FEA0F4EEACB5A7"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Expansion of pilot
			 project area</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (b)
			 of the Herger-Feinstein Quincy Library Group Forest Recovery Act is amended by
			 adding at the end the following new paragraph:</text>

					<paragraph id="HDE318CB1AC8B42A5A8B6900D3D495692"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Expansion of pilot
				project area</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary
				may expand the pilot project area to include all National Forest System lands
				within California or Nevada that lie within the Sierra Nevada and Cascade
				Province, Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest,
				and Inyo National Forest. These lands may be managed using the same strategy,
				guidelines and resource management activities outlined in this section or
				developed to meet local forest and community needs and
				conditions.</text>
					</paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H8C4D71D7D62C439496CA10AC3D688780"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Roadless area
			 protection</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (c)(4)
			 of the Herger-Feinstein Quincy Library Group Forest Recovery Act is amended by
			 adding at the end the following new sentence: <quote>However, those areas
			 designated as <quote>Deferred</quote> on the map, but located in Tehama County,
			 south and west of Lassen Peak, are deemed to be designated as <quote>Available
			 for Group Selection</quote> and shall be managed accordingly under subsection
			 (d).</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H365E06AF0555415AB8BF9BAEABD98D15"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Group selection
			 requirement</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subparagraph (A)
			 of subsection (d)(2) of the Herger-Feinstein Quincy Library Group Forest
			 Recovery Act is amended to read as follows:</text>

					<subparagraph id="H8C369D89210F4E9CA1BE7289B2A24568"><enum>(A)</enum><header>Group
				selection</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">After September 30,
				2012, group selection on an average acreage of .57 percent of the pilot project
				area land shall occur each year of the pilot
				project.</text>
