		<official-title>To allow an occupancy preference for veterans in housing
		  projects developed on property of the Department of Veterans Affairs with
		  assistance provided under the Department of Housing and Urban Development
		  program for supportive housing for very low-income elderly
		  persons.</official-title>

		<section id="HB02D7A3B13C5443ABE97BAD774414553" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Senior Veterans Housing Assistance Act
			 of 2011</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H56FCE63AA2044602994D3FEBF7B999ED"><enum>2.</enum><header>Occupancy
			 preference for veterans</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Notwithstanding section 202 of the Housing
			 Act of 1959 (12 U.S.C. 1701q) or any other provision of law applicable to
			 assistance under such section or to a project assisted under such section, a
			 preference may be established for occupancy by veterans who are very low-income
			 elderly persons in dwelling units in any supportive housing project for the
			 elderly that—</text>
			<paragraph id="H4C0371909C474E36A6A121A1D09C87B9"><enum>(1)</enum><text>is provided
			 assistance under such section by the Department of Housing and Urban
			 Development; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H9C25BC59CF464370AA562861D36DDF96"><enum>(2)</enum><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="H4D20584FD70A4963BDC4AB2643267F6D"><enum>(A)</enum><text>is or would be located
			 on property of the Department of Veterans Affairs; or</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H4C468B54EC344E6187A484B58BC75CA6" indent="up1"><enum>(B)</enum><text>is subject to an enhanced use lease
			 with the Department of Veterans Affairs.</text>
				</subparagraph></paragraph></section></legis-body>
