		<section id="H74ECEE3435AA4A25BB56F33D23CB2BFF" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>HOPE VI Program Termination Act of
			 2011</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H6FBA86D19B0042099B3AB446AA2C4373"><enum>2.</enum><header>Termination of
			 HOPE VI program</header>
			<subsection id="H268F22B288F24C2D81EC69CA077B53D3"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Repeal of grant
			 authority</header><text>Section 24 of the United States Housing Act of 1937 (42
			 U.S.C. 1437v) is hereby repealed.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H9AAB202CE8A3454CBD4179342CACEDF5"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Treatment of
			 remaining funds</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding the repeal under subsection
			 (a) of this section, any amounts made available under section 24 of the United
			 States Housing Act of 1937 and obligated before the date of the enactment of
			 this Act shall continue to be governed by such section, as in effect
			 immediately before such repeal, and any other applicable provisions of law.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HD7791784E9B74A949E4A30568490C3F7"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Termination</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Upon the completion of outlays to liquidate
			 all amounts referred to in subsection (b) of this section and the completion of
			 all activities with respect to such amounts pursuant to subsection (b), the
			 Secretary of Housing and Urban Development shall terminate the HOPE VI program
			 authorized under section 24 of the United States Housing Act of 1937.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HAFB1A915B7E0431098A2AD6951266C17"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Rescission of
			 funding</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Effective on the date
			 of the enactment of this Act, there are rescinded and permanently canceled all
			 unobligated balances remaining available as of such date of enactment of any
			 amounts made available under section 24 of the United States Housing Act of
			 1937. All such unobligated balances so rescinded and permanently canceled shall
			 be covered into the General Fund of the Treasury for reducing the budget
			 deficit of the Federal Government.</text>
