		<official-title>To provide employment opportunities for veterans in
		  transportation construction projects, and for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="H9129F99B063D4641BF23102BA3B280EB" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Mobilizing Opportunities for Veterans Employment Act of
			 2011</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HFE8108CFAA96474C8CAB5A5FFE514B40"><enum>2.</enum><header>Veterans
			 preference in highway construction</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 114 of title 23, United States Code,
			 is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HA76FBE08496D4DF29BB288A867F3ECAE" style="OLC">
				<subsection id="H01EE555B21A744F79D91BF4DE793BB90"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Veterans
				employment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Recipients of
				Federal financial assistance under this chapter shall ensure that contractors
				working on a project funded using such assistance give a hiring preference to
				veterans, as defined in section 2108 of title 5, who have the requisite skills
				and abilities to perform the construction work required under the contract.
				This subsection shall not apply to projects subject to section 140(d) of this
				title.</text>
				</subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
		</section><section id="HE898FF8F09134ADEBB22ED9F4949A31B"><enum>3.</enum><header>Veterans
			 preference in transit construction</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 5325 of title 49, United States
			 Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HE7936451B75E4E74BC2610AC690A7A26" style="OLC">
				<subsection id="HC3577ADBEF0D498FB096A59A9270F764"><enum>(k)</enum><header>Veterans
				employment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Recipients and
				subrecipients of Federal financial assistance under this chapter shall ensure
				that contractors working on a capital project funded using such assistance give
				a hiring preference to veterans, as defined in section 2108 of title 5, who
				have the requisite skills and abilities to perform the construction work
				required under the
				contract.</text>
