		<official-title display="yes">To amend the SOAR Act by clarifying the
		  scope of coverage of the Act.</official-title>

		<section id="H5D5C1969837E4F568DBE15331A4930E1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>SOAR Technical Corrections
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H6C5C8B88AD6B4FD28F6E1FA9C704B45F"><enum>2.</enum><header>Use of
			 funds</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3007(a)(4)(F) of
			 the Scholarships for Opportunity and Results Act (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/112/10">Public Law
			 112–10</external-xref>; 125 Stat. 203) is amended to read as follows:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H11CD33C7663E446BBF0CC2CAAD22166E" style="OLC">
				<subparagraph id="H42E20C55C01245F9B62835AEA3D23C7B"><enum>(F)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">ensures that, with respect to core academic
				subjects (as such term is defined in section 9101(11) of the Elementary and
				Secondary Education Act of 1965 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/20/7801">20 U.S.C. 7801(11)</external-xref>), participating
				students are taught by a teacher who has a baccalaureate degree or equivalent
				degree, whether such degree was awarded in or outside of the United
				States.</text>
				</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
		</section><section id="H41DC1ED7BB654E8AA0775167585D2EDE"><enum>3.</enum><header>Nationally
			 norm-referenced standardized tests</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3008(h) of the Scholarships for
			 Opportunity and Results Act (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/112/10">Public Law 112–10</external-xref>; 125 Stat. 205) is
			 amended by striking paragraph (2) and inserting the following:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H147DC097324140FBA2E051B6C9BB9F30" style="OLC">
				<paragraph id="H9170EB4635454FE5A17E6ADE6A7F1B44"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Administration
				of tests</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Institute of
				Education Sciences shall administer nationally norm-referenced standardized
				tests, as described in paragraph (3)(A) of section 3009(a), to students
				participating in the evaluation under section 3009(a) for the purpose of
				conducting the evaluation under such section, except where a student is
				attending a participating school that is administering the same nationally
				norm-referenced standardized test in accordance with the testing requirements
				described in paragraph (1).</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H543A26E8231146E6AEF5A30E202DBB32"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Test
				results</header><text>Each participating school that administers the nationally
				norm-referenced standardized test described in paragraph (2) to an eligible
				student shall make the test results, with respect to such student, available to
				the Secretary as necessary for evaluation under section
				3009(a).</text>
				</paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
		</section><section id="H64C29ADAE7E340D38C1711A3F209BFD5"><enum>4.</enum><header>Evaluations</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3009(a)(3) of the Scholarships for
			 Opportunity and Results Act (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/112/10">Public Law 112–10</external-xref>; 125 Stat. 206) is
			 amended—</text>
			<paragraph commented="no" id="HE2B63A28F5084642B8AAB3762F9CDDB7"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subparagraph
			 (A), by inserting before the semicolon the following: <quote>in a manner
			 consistent with section 3008(h)</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H7D79982844C54F45B16DCC29EA13AF82"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subparagraph
			 (C), by inserting <quote>, if requested by the Institute of Education
			 Sciences,</quote> after <quote>will participate</quote>.</text>
